We ran out of toilet paper! Only 1/2 roll in the room. We asked for the shuttle to be there at 7am to take us to Duke University Hospital. Driver was late! Due to this we were late for my wife’s check in and her procedure was moved until later in the day!!😡😡 When I asked at the front desk about the shuttle not being there the staff was rude and said he’s on his way. When I told them we had to get to the hospital, they gave me attitude!!

The person who checked us in was very professional, caring and was dressed well. Our room was very clean, and the location to every where we needed it to go was excellent.

The hotel had no record of my booking- I had to purchase a room directly from them upon arrival.

Very pleasant stay! The night staff was helpful and friendly!

My room was on 4th floor at back of building. No map on site so no idea of this at booking. Traveling alone, it gave me pause for personal safety, esp.with the back lot activities...loitering locals? Pool was small. Gym even smaller. N9 resterraunt open nor lounge during week per front staff. This on-site amenities were key to my booking. Oh well. Room...one coffee cup one tp roll one blanket one pillow shy for king bed. Carpet in hall looked nice but musty closer to back elevator with visible bleach stains and water damage. One patron was at front counter during my check out and had issue with breakfast staff commenting on he and child being okay to eat when they had been paying and staying all week. No Mgr in til 0900 too. Is front staff authorized to handle issues until then, as most guest issues present before this hour.

The lights in the elevator did not work. I had to use my light on my phone.

Untill next noon, when I found out, the first reaction of front desk is to tell me they will not be responsible. I brought my son to visit duke and chose a hotel around the campus. It is so terrinble to experience this. It looks like a nice hotel but end up that no body cares about the guest.

I definitely will never go back. Yrs ago before this trip I stayed at this hotel, because my family live around the corner from the hotel & that stay was cool maybe because it was under different management plus I stayed on the third floor. This stay in July was horrible, it stank, my toilet overflowed, my tub overflowed & they didn't not move me to another room just made me wait hours to get maintenance. When I first arrived the atmosphere was uninviting but I already paid for my stay on line. I was asked to do a review immediately before even getting my room key, I should've known something was wrong at that moment. They don't have to worry about me or anyone I know spending money with this hotel.

no free breakfast for simple things but all fine!

The check in process was very poor. 7 of us waiting to check in. Most had reservations. One employee checking in one customer took. 30 min to check the client In while a second desk employee played with her phone. Neither employee made eye contact or any acknowledgement to the waiting guests .may never return.
