clean room and quiet

The staff was great and helpful. The property has a smoke scent throughout. It is not updated; the carpets in hallways and rooms were stained. Rooms were small and very outdated, and hot. Bathrooms are extremely small with a tiny shower. The beds have mattresses sitting on metal bases that stick out. Although the front desk lady showed us a different room from what we got (due to broken glass on a frame right above the bed) we left because it was hard to breathe.

The room had dead roaches someone had squashed on the walls, we couldn't sleep at all and I mean at all because beds were terrible. Lightweight sitting on one and it bounces you off. I love all Sleep Inns I've stayed over the years but this one needs redone and the room cleaned much better not leaving dead roaches on the wall.

Room 1’s lights didn’t work properly. Switch was hanging off the wall & carpet was soaking wet. Soon as l took shoes off, whatever completely saturated & messed up my socks. I went right back to front desk. Lady apologized & asked did l use the room (mind you l came immediately back). I told her l only pulled the sheets back to check bed. She gave me another room. It was 2 doubles instead of King l booked, but l let it go trying not to be picky. Room 2 walked in & noticed smoke detector hanging from ceiling. I debated going back down but it looked ok, l was exhausted & didn’t feel like nitpicking. Unpacked & went to wash my face. The sink was clogged & wouldn’t drain. So, l decided to just hop in the shower instead. Opened the bathroom door & water dripped on my head. It looked like it was just used. There was water EVERYWHERE, towels wet. Packed back up & went back down (nobody at desk). Finally explained to lady & she asked what took me so long (it had been maybe 15mins). I showed her the pics & clearly l hadn’t showered. Towels untouched, etc… She pushed back saying it looks like l’m using the rooms. How?!! I had to detail my every move! Room 3, lights janky, no king bed, bathroom doorknob hanging off. Giant red stain on carpet. I ended up just leaving around midnight. NEVER GOING BACK. Will escalate.

I would have been laying on it, and it would have been on me when l pulled the inner covers over me. Once l showed the pictures she was like, “ohhhh!” Then, offered new room. 2nd room was fine. Wasn’t expecting a 5 star stay, and never had issues with the property on previous stays.

It served its purpose. It was a stop for the night to our final destination. Definitely needs some work and updating, there were stains/cracks on the ceiling. Free breakfast was ok and there were options, plus a waffle maker. There wasn’t anything that would make us not come back but you definitely get what you pay for.

The room was nice. The breakfast was good. Good location. Nothing in particular that I didn’t like.

We found and were bitten by bed bugs they were neither shocked or surprised by our complaint. I have filed a complaint with the NC Dept of Health and Human services, an inspector has been assigned.

The two people at the counter, especially the young lady were taught scam 101. I was charged for the room $152 (2 nights). Then the young lady wanted to charge me $100 for deposit...okay do it. She claimed she couldn't do it. I have her 3 cards to charge. Then the young man at the desk said they had been having problems with the machine. So the young lady tells me that since she couldn't charge for a deposit. I couldn't have the room. I was furious and tired at this point. I demanded my refund for the hotel room and she told me "NO." She said it was after 4PM and no one could do anything and she was unable to refund me for the room but I could come back the next morning to talk to the manager. .. SCAM !! I immediately refused that nonsense and called both the booking agent and my bank. She kept telling me to move aside so she could help others! I refused and told her since she has my money for the room, I am a guest and demand she figure out something for either my room or my refund. Once I confirmed that my bank knew I paid and I was denied the service and my refund and they would reimburse me. I left. The staff had indicated I checked in the hotel for the 2 nights! SCAM!

The location was great for accessing the freeway and tracing within the area and the surrounding areas. I was not impressed with the property. It is old and very outdated. Some fixtures do not work (lamps with no light bulbs or that did not work), no phone in the room, and the clock did not work.

There was only one employee attending to the guest and also preparing the breakfast. The ware no extra towels for the rooms. There was only one person cleaning the rooms.

We initially planned to stay here for 3 nights but left after the first. The shower had a huge crack and warping at the bottom of it as well as mold on the ceiling of it, The smoke alarm was barely attached to the ceiling and wasn’t even hooked in to any electronic, The AC was leaking and water pulled and streamed out into the middle of the room. It’d be fine for a night or two but if stuff like a smoke alarm isn’t even connected to anything you might not even make it to the morning. Only positive is that the area around it is fine-ish, didn’t stay long enough to find out.

I wouldn't recommend staying here ever. The first room we got put into room 215 had a leak in the air conditioner, which had leaked water all the way down to the end of the first bed. We had to get changed into another room 419, which the shower pressure is absolutely terrible and the hot water takes forever to get hot but once it did it didn't stay the temp it was set to, it kept going hotter and hotter. When we tried to use one of the 'clean' towels it had poop stained on it. For breakfast the OJ is hot, the cereal is dry and stale, the fruit tasted off. No ice machines worked except the 3rd floor one and apparently that has been like that for awhile. Trash was left in the area where the drink machine and ices machine is constantly. And good lord the elevator is a huge safety issue it needs to he fixed or just shut down, it makes so many noises when its running, it had jolted multiple times as it runs and doesn't open the door as quick as it should and it started to beep while I was in it the 2nd and last time I rode in it. This hotel honestly was the worst I've ever stayed in and I am not a picky person when it comes to this type of thing I just want a clean and comfortable place to stay and this place is none of that. The employee at the front desk when I went down to try to talk to them about my issues were already in a argument with another customer, he was told he would get a refund from the front desk then was told by the manager that he had to talk to his team first

The bedroom has odor, I guess it’s the carpet!
