Avion Inn Near LGA Airport, an Ascend Collection Hotel

We stayed here after our flight got cancelled. Overall for a basic room its not bad. Its obvious this property is older in years and requires investments to bring it back up to something half decent if you were there for any amount of time. The AC in our room sounded like a jet engine taking off each time it turned on but we were so tired we could not care.

This place was a little bleak, I'm not going to lie. However, the location was very good for me as I needed to attend a real estate closing in Jackson Heights. On the plus side, my room was clean and comfortable. Although I could see the LGA runways, I did not hear any airplanes. I did, though, hear the "beep beep beep" of the FedEx trucks from the lot right in back.

The hotel was near the bus line and train line. Staff was friendly. Room was comfortable and clean. Around the corner were food trucks till midnight. And down the street was a car wash that had a restaurant inside. Very good food. Loved it

Room was decent fridge didnt really work in the room I had 2 staff members that were very nice and helpful and the other 2 I came across were rude short and not helpful i was lucky they even answered my questions when asked, the way they wrote out how the shuttle works is just confusing enough that if you dont pay attention you'll be in the same trouble I was in,with difficulty whenI tried to set up shuttles, when I ordered their ' room service " it took 2 hours to get it delivered with attuide I do not recommend this hotel

Most rooms have been renovated. Close to the airport. Shuttle service was great. The employees were so helpful. Very cost efficient. Don't judge by first look, that is only the cover of this book. Best kept secret if you ask us. We stayed there leaving to go out of the country the night before and stayed there coming back from going out of the country on our way home. We would do it again. They have a grab and go breakfast as well. The local family operated Italian/Pizza restaurant that delivers is soooooooooo good. Give them a try!!

Easy to arrive to After arriving at almost 5am, they tried to enter the room at 7am, and then phoned the room!!!!

The room decor, staff/personnel professionalism and politeness. The room was very clean and comfortable - however.... The person in the room adjacent to me had their door propped open all night - people were coming and going ALL NIGHT! Also - THEY WERE SMOKING IN THAT ROOM AND THE SMOKE WAS BLEEDING INTO MY ROOM ALL NIGHT - IT WAS HORRIBLE!
