New York LaGuardia Airport Marriott

My stay was comfortable though some the furniture could use some upkeep, but overall the room for fine.

I didnt like the fact that there no locks on the bathroom door

Parking at this Hotel extremely expensive

Elevator did not require key to go to floors. Did not feel safe. Toilet didn’t flush. Cabinets were banged up in the bathroom. Road noise was horrible. For $300 Marriott. No thank you.

should have a microwave unit for the room with disabilities and amenities that seniors would need. Complementary water for taking medication.

However, the bed was nice, TV was decent, and the room layout was good. We had everything we needed in the room, including decent coffee and a coffee maker. We ate breakfast at the hotel (which was extra $), but it is your standard Marriott fare, which is always good quality and better than most breakfasts at hotels. Be aware that this hotel isn't exactly convenient to the touristy area in Manhattan or in a nice area, FYI. To go to Manhattan, we got a ride share to a subway terminal in Queens (Jackson Heights) and then rode the subway into Manhattan, which took about 40 minutes and cost about $35 each way.

The staff was excellent. Several small items broke in my 1 night stay such as door handle to bathroom, light fixture by bed and the door lock to the room, leaving me locked out until maintenance could be called. The bathroom had body hair in the sink and shower; and, the a/c couldn't get the dampness out of the air. For the money, I was disappointed in the room; however, the friendliness of the staff more than made up for it. Also, don't waste your money on the internet as you are denied access to most sites and it was so slow I ended up using my phone as a hot spot.

The air conditioning did not work. I set it to 50 degrees and it was still hot in the room. Temperature outside was high 80's. The reading light over one of the beds did not work. It did not turn on. The bathtub did not drain. The TV randomly turned on in the middle of the night (no the remote was not in the bed.) with a HDMI message and the light from it disturbed everyone. Very frustrating. I am a Marriott Bonvoy member and have stayed in dozens of Marriotts the world over. Most are acceptable or quite nice. This hotel falls into the terrible category. The only thing it has going for it is the fact that it is close to LGA and we had an early flight. Disappointing. There should be some compensation for the AC not working as we had an uncomfortable night.

The front desk clerk was very pleasant and helpful. The airport shuttle was a major bonus and reason for our stay. The hotel was quiet and peaceful other than the sound of planes and highway traffic racing in the middle of the night. Very clean and well-maintained. I would definitely recommend if you need a place to rest.

The room was clean and a 5 minute drive from the airport!
