Best Western Elko Inn

Friendly staff. Good breakfast fir price. Room a bit worn. But to be expected for a pet friendly hotel, I suppose.

I would have given this hotel a 5-star review except for a few things. (1) Neither of the ice machines were working; (2) both the pool and spa were drained and empty; and (3) there was a chemical odor in the hallway on the second floor. The front desk staff said that they are in the middle of a remodel which is why some of those issues existed. However, there were a few things that were outstanding: (1) the breakfast was one of the best I've had at a Best Western. The lady who ran their kitchen was excellent. (2) The bed was super comfortable. My husband and I slept very well. (3) The room was roomy which we really appreciated. (4) The shower had GREAT water pressure, which I really enjoyed since I washed my hair. (5) We left an item in our room which we didn't discover until we were well on the road. They contacted us and held the item until we traveled back through. The manager was very accommodating in that regard. THANK YOU!!

Rooms were clean and the staff were very friendly. The garbage outside our entrance and exit door was completely full. The pool and Hot tub were unavailable.

Would not have gotten a room here, if I was aware that the pool was under construction. Also, when we checked in we were told that they were sold out, but there was definitely not enough breakfast to accommodate all.

They have the information to send out marketing information to us by email about the hotel, so they should be able to let us know about restricted access to one of the features they advertise on their website. We may try Shutters when we come out at the end of the year, We could have a new favorite. Oh, we also found an antianxiety pill on the floor of our room, next to the chair. So, check out the floors before letting your kids and pets wonder.

We had a wonderful stay! Stay was super helpful directing us for dinner, breakfast was great and the lady behind the counter made our day!

The bathtub in our room had the finish peeling off and clogging the drain. The room itself looked worn out and dated. It was very disappointing overall.

Pros: The front desk staff were friendly and efficient, the beds were comfortable, and the water was hot. The breakfast was adequate, but they ran out of food and it took quite awhile to make more- to the point where my husband only ate a muffin and sausage because the eggs and hash browns were not ready before we needed to leave. Cons: The main areas smelled strongly of chemicals and gasoline. The facilities were run down, mold/mildew was growing on the bathroom ceiling, the the room overall was humid and musty. The tub was chipped and peeling. The pool/hot tub were not functional.

Room smelled awful, super disappointed as I’ve stayed here before but never had the awful stench we did this time. Shower was awful, sprayed everywhere.

Toilet was running every few minutes which was disturbing during sleep. Refrigerator was also loud.

I liked that the room was clean I didn’t like that all the vending machines I found where all out of order including the ice machines. Also the tv did not work and there was no internet connection. The ac unit would make a really loud horrible rattling sound when turned on which made it impossible to sleep so I kept it off and it made the whole room hot.

Staff is very friendly and attentive. Pool and hot tub have been out of service for a while. Tubs in the room aren’t clean enough to take a bath.

Overall, my stay was pleasant. The location was very good, the service was good, and the breakfast was delicious. However, I was extremely disappointed by the cleanliness of the bathroom, particularly the bathtub. The tub was not properly cleaned and was clearly below the standard I would expect from a hotel. Cleanliness should be a basic priority, especially in a bathroom, and this issue significantly affected my overall impression of the stay.

Pool was closed

The staff at check in was friendly and super helpful. The pool and hot tub were down for renovations. The room needed to be cleaned a little better, food crumbs from the previous guest were along the edges of the room. The bed was clean and surprisingly comfortable. It was the best night sleep, in a hotel bed, that I have had in a long time.

The room was clean but the bathroom was in need of an update. The last update, which obviously involved recoating the tub, was peeling off and a bit gross.

The hotel across the board was excellent.

Staff was super nice. Unfortunately the room was not as expected. The tub wouldn't drain, called the front desk but since it was in the evening they could do nothing. Also saw 2 baby roaches, 1 floating in the tub the next day and 1 on the wall by the BR. Hopefully they make repairs. But staff is very friendly.
