The raters who are giving this as an 8 or above have never stayed at a nice hotel chain before. Spend the extra money. You are not going to like the room, you are not going to like the smell of smoke everywhere, which is unavoidable.

We had a great stay at the hotel and casino. It was my birthday, so I got some free slot machine play. We had a great prime rib dinner, so much, I had to get a to-go box with leftovers, very yummy, great service.

Red Lion is missed. Maverick took over and let the grounds go to trash. Everything is overgrown, trash everywhere and the rooms are just meh.

clean room, nice steakhouse with tons of whiskey, stuff is all really nice. Starbucks inside is clutch for the morning. Poor recently redone, looks good. you can tell they update it one area at a time so the steakhouse and pool and gaming floor seem super new and nice, and some of the hotel doorways, and hallways look a little dated. would stay again.

The room was really dirty, dead bugs in the room, pool was out of service, and the water in the restaurant at the gold country tasted like hose water. The rooms have popcorn ceilings that are super dirty and cracking. People were very kind, but rooms are dirty, parking lot is not maintained so theres pot holes everywhere.

Beds were comfy Was run down and cable barely gave any channels. Bathroom wasn't very clean and the room had a smell. I paid 230 over booking plus 100 deposit when I got there. Didn't meet my expectations ?

Large room, dog friendly, nice staff at check-in.

Clean room, very comfortable bed. Quite area , we arrived early and they were very accommodating.

I have used expedia numerous places, never was treated the way we were at Maverick in Elko Nevada.
