Elkotel - The Newest Hotel in Elko

The property was ok. Our room was across from the ice machine, very noisy. Parking was included. Room was clean.

The room was large, nicely appointed, clean and quiet. We definitely would stay there again.

The breakfast and larger rooms make the hotel a positive experience, however they fall short with poor bedding and towels and calcium deposits collecting on shower wands.

Need more luggage carriers. I had a fast check in tow the lady working the desk. Wish Expedia gave you option of what floor you wanted. We are 78 and wanted 1st floor but our room was already picked out. Laundry as on first so we didn’t do ours there.

I was charged for my reservation twice. I had to call the front desk to let them know. Someone who said they were the manager talked to me and said there was nothing they could do, then they hung up on me!

After I checked into room I saw that TV wouldn’t turn on, I called the front desk and after hour person came to room, she was unable to figure out issue and said her manager would be coming soon to fix issue. Eventually I went to desk for an update and was told Manager was going to be there soon, I eventually fixed the issue myself which was that TV was plugged into outlet connected to entry light. The Manager or anyone else never showed up to fix issue. Follow up by staff was expected but not done.

Here is the best example of why I would recommend this hotel…they don’t charge extra for traveling with a pet AND (most importantly) they do not downgrade you just because you have a pet. If you’re looking for a good place to stay for the night and are sick and tired of being shuffled off to the terrible rooms because of your pet, this is the best place to go.

We enjoyed our stay at the Elkotel. Easy access, newly remodeled, clean, friendly staff.

AC was good to have but Very noisy, like a loose fan.

Beds and bedding is comfortable, spacious room and bathroom, and a good continental breakfast with coffee, tea and water available all day.

Property is under new management, the new hotel manager was accommodating and tried making up for the shortfalls. I booked long in advance for a suite and when I arrived they had gi en the room to the manager as living quarters. The room I was given was poorly cleaned, there was literally feces on the front of the toilet, the counter and tubs had long hair and stains in them, the floors dodnt look like they'd been properly swept or mopped as the floors were sticky, the ac in the room was very loud as if it was failing, both tvs had to be reset for the internet several times during my stay. The manager did gi e me a small discount for my first nights stay, although even at that pricing I'd have been better off changing hotels or staying at the local casinos.

Elmo’s newest hotel is a tired old building that is in process of renovation. My room was strangely furnished with no easy chair or closet. The handles on the desk were missing. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom had been upgraded. The “hot” breakfast was stone cold. I threw out the eggs and sausage as they were not edible. When I informed the desk clerk her only response was “Oh.” Don’t recommend.

It was a little run down but overall clean and doable. The lobby was nice. Much nicer than most of the options in town.

The bathtub/shower was amazing

I saw how expensive the Home 2 Suites nearby was and looked for another property that was dog friendly. Elkotel was even more dog friendly and at a much more affordable cost. The staff were great and the amenities, just what we needed. My dog and I had a great night’s sleep. Would love to see some grass or turf to make potty trips a little easier but that would be my only suggestion. Thanks!
