The room was a good size and offered nice amenities. However, the bed was extremely uncomfortable and appeared to be poorly maintained. The mattress had a noticeable dip on the right side, making it feel like I was sleeping on the floor with little to no support. The HVAC system was also in poor condition. Whenever it was running, it made a loud, high-pitched whine that sounded like the fan was about to fail. The noise was loud enough to wake me up multiple times throughout the night. On a positive note, the shower had good water pressure and worked well.

The night time staff was very rude and hateful during my check in process! He had an attitude about everything and when I told him I had a service dog he got even more irritated!

Could have been cleaner and needs to be remodeled but then I am sure it will be much more expensive. Very economical with a warm shower and a good bed. Very secure and safe.

The air conditioner in our room made a horribly loud constant noise. If it wasn’t for that I’d be leaving a great review, because honestly this hotel was surprisingly nice for the price. But since we literally could not sleep, which is sort of the entire point of a hotel room, I won’t be back.

Ryan staffing front desk was welcoming and when I needed help with my tv he was very polite in checking it out for me. Nice employee.

Great location, I like the functional kitchen (great for families with kids/babies), room was reasonably big, good shower pressure. I was not happy when charged $20 for canceling my last night with more than 48 hours in advance notice and after asking the front desk attendant if I was going to be charged for it and he said no :( Oh well. Plenty of parking spots.

Kitchen light flickered and TV turned on but did not work at all. Didn’t bother me as I was exhausted and went to sleep pretty much right away. Heat/AC worked well. Bed was comfortable, room was old but clean. Shower had great water pressure. I did not use any amenities.

This is an excellent choice for guests without children. No breakfast or pool for kids but if you're visiting or working in emporia, then Mainstay suites are perfect. Kitchenettes are excellent and beds are soft.
