Inn at Moonlight Beach

The in-room bath salt and fresh herbs turned a simple bath into a real highlight, and the licorice mint tea was so good I bought a box of the leaves from the gift shop before leaving. Breakfast came in a charming picnic basket, generous and fresh. Checkout was just as kind as check-in. This place really nails the "zen by the beach" feeling. We're already planning our next visit!

If you’re looking for a peaceful getaway with not a lot of people and kids running around (besides the train every now and then during the day. lol) This is it. It’s a cute intimate staycation. The massage I got for my husband he loved and the footsoak in the garden with wine and cheese board was perfect. I even fell asleep in the garden waiting for my husband to finish his massage. The staff are super attentive and make you feel so welcomed. We satyed in the sage room and slept like babies. I loved everything about our stay. And enjoyed the simplicity of it all.

I needed a quite getaway for a couple of days and this was wonderful and peaceful even though there is a train station close by. The sound of the waterfalls and the room insulations hardly made it noticeable. The manager Chai was so friendly and knowledgeable. I really enjoyed my stay and will go back anytime I am in need of a short distance getaway.

I spent 4 nights at The Inn at Moonlight Beach and I was still not ready to leave! Every morning I took a nice long stroll down Moonlight beach, and stopped off for coffee at Lofty. A wonderful breakfast basket was waiting for me when I returned with fresh fruit, a chia seed parfait and green juice. I stayed in Sweet Bay, which had nice high ceilings, a comfortable bed, a mini kitchen and a large soaking tub. All of the touches were so well thought out. I loved the sound machine with the sound of waves in the background of my entire stay. The cute beach bag was used daily. There is no doubt I will return!

Everything was new and clean and modern they had filtered water and really amazing food. The complementary breakfast was minimal but really excellent. Definitely worth coming back an ego, friendly hotel highly recommend. I think everything was really well thought out maybe the mini fridge in the room wasn’t in the best place. It was under a table. Other than that, I think it was exceptional and no other complaints. Maybe it was just the room I was in ?

Lovely clean room with ocean view off the deck. Enjoyed the pot of hot tea and treats on arrival in my room.

We had a relaxing stay and enjoyed the peaceful vibes, pretty rooms and grounds, and all the special touches.

This was one of the best hotels we’ve stayed at in quite awhile. First, I always seek out rooms with kitchenettes which these rooms have. The garden setting is so serene and close walk to Moonlight Beach and downtown Encinitas is ideal. This hotel goes above and beyond with so many little touches from afternoon and evening to, welcoming you to your room with candles, treats, and tea. Then herbal bath and spa robes and the most amazing breakfast delivered to your door in a cute picnic basket. They also have fun activities for the kids like rock painting, art night, and garden harvesting. Truly a special place!

Room, food, ambiance, staff are all excellent. 2nd time we have stayed and will definitely return. I absolutely LOVE this place!!!!

The Inn at Moonlight Beach is a peaceful little paradise just a few blocks from the beach. Our stay was the most relaxing we had in a very long time! The Inn is a wellness center running on 90% solar energy, harvesting their own fruits and erbs, and serving a delicious, farm to table healthy breakfast to your door every morning. We'll definitely go back!

I spent my birthday at Moonlight Inn, and it was truly everything I didn’t know I needed. From the moment I arrived, there was a calm, grounding energy that made me feel instantly at ease. The inn offers the perfect mix of comfort and charm thoughtfully decorated rooms, cozy beds, and little details that make you feel cared for. What stood out the most was the atmosphere serene yet warm, raw, with quiet corners to read or reflect, and open spaces that let you soak in nature without distraction. It felt like time slowed down here, allowing me to be present, breathe deeper, and actually feel my birthday in a soulful way. Whether it was enjoying a slow morning coffee with the gentle sounds of the surroundings, or taking an evening walk at theMoonlight beach every moment felt intentional and restorative. Moonlight Inn isn’t just a place to stay — it’s a place to reconnect with yourself. I left feeling lighter, grateful, and grounded. I will be back for many more… And the owner is the most amazing human with compassionate heart and kind aura.

A true gem walking distance to Encinitas and moonlight beach. Beautiful biodinamic gardens, great for the family. Delicious food as well

Smell. Flies. Noise.

I can see why they have such high ratings. Very thought-out details. BEAUTIFUL and peaceful. Exactly the place to recharge. Healthy clean food snacks and breakfast provided. I lost weight and my blood sugar levels were the best that I have ever seen.....can't wait to go back.

The property was gorgeous. The staff was not very kind or helpful. I found the hotel staff to be quite condescending
