Nicky's Resort

Everything with this standard king bed room was fine. I gave 4 stars for the property not having any outside lighting for second floor rooms. Early flight plans were walking to the car along sidewalk and parking lot in total darkness. Not sure if this is the case all the time

Beautiful place

The room was cute and cozy. We had some issues with the sinks, bathroom door, and walls being pretty thin, but it was still good for a cheap room

The room and location can't be beat! Nonthing.

Room was good but I did not like that there was no hotel office. Checking was done remotely and the person was nice. Coffee maker was good. Three miles to the entrance to Rocky Mountain National Park. Good restaurant for lunch and dinner 100 ft away.

location three miles from park entrance was great! Clean initially, woodsy motif, No broom to sweep after we returned from hiking on dirt trails, no close hangers, no dresser but an extra luggage holder would have sufficed but they only had one, shower curtain was stupid! We tried to keep water from running over the sides like it was ours. But after three days we said, if they don't care, we don't care. And so, the water sprayed out of both ends on the floor. No human on grounds. But when I called the number for another pillow, they were very nice and brought it within the hour.

Half of the outlets in the room didn't work, the overhead light in the kitchen also wasn't working. There were dead bugs in the bathroom when I walked in. It looked mostly clean and was fine for one night but the electrical issues threw a wrench into my evening. The location was nice that it wasn't right next to town it's a little west of town but still super close drive to everything.

The location was perfect…not too far out of town and easy to find and access! Check in and communication with the resort was great! The cabin was super clean and was perfect for our short stay! The only complaint I have is the fireplace did not come on and the futon/sofa was extremely uncomfortable!

We picked this location for these basic reasons: - proximity to RMNP, access to a mountain stream on property. Although we read some distressing reviews, we did not find the same issues. Our room was clean, the restaurant on-site was great, the places to sit near the stream/river were a nice touch. With the instructions given to us via email, we were able to get into our room with no issues. Easy parking. Glad to have a ground floor room (even though we heard guests above us early in the morning. Although we did not book because they had a swimming pool, they really need to remove this as an on property amenity as it obviously hasn't been use in a number of years. A box of Kleenex would be a nice addition.

Rustic 2 bedroom cabin. It was clean. The bedrooms were comfortable. Bathroom adequate. Kitchen area was clean but poorly supplied example 1 cereal bowl, eating utensils were old and limited. Kitchen table scratched and had to be from the 1960's. Living area furniture was poor, the futon was so uncomfortable to sit on, can't image what it would be like to sleep on. The recliner chairs were so old the plastic on them crumbled on your clothes and on the floor. Despite this I would return, as the area was convenient and peaceful. Every morning a flock of turkeys would pass by. Also the restaurant is in walking distance from the cabin.

I like this place and I feel that it if you are a no frills traveler you will be plenty satisfied. It is far enough off the road to be very quiet, has a nice bar/restaurant very close by & front door parking. If you are looking for a little more luxury, then I would consider another option. The next time I am traveling solo, I will consider it. I am a return guest, after a wonderful experience back in 2023. This property no longer has an onsite staff. I'm okay with that, but the staff was a huge reason for my previous pleasant experience. This time, my room had a leaking (stream of water) faucet. I messaged the property & they were responsive & got the problem solved the next day, so I am 100% satisfied with that aspect. The person on the other end was very courteous & engaged. A couple issues with the room included a sliding screen door that liked to get stuck, a sliding glass door that was very "stiff" when opening & closing & a shower curtain liner that was so light that it liked to fly up & get the bathroom floor soaking wet. That's a case where buying the $4 shower curtain liner instead of the dollar version, may solve that. The bed was comfortable, the TV was the perfect setup & the mini fridge was large. I love the north woods decor, as well!

Self check in was ok once I figured it out. Bathroom was not clean at all. Tub had cracks all over the bottom and there was mildew around the edges. Door was a sliding glass door with a sliding screen door. Screen door was broken and we had to leave it open. Sink and tub took forever to drain. Also only one package of individual coffee to last two of us two days

The river outside of our room was great and the location to RMNP can’t be beat!

The room was clean, the staff was friendly, parking was easy. Air conditioning worked well.

Bathroom needed some updating

Hard to say that the staff was bad when there is no staff. Overall the room was good, and served it's purpose.

Clean room, great location, great price. Never went to the restaurant but it’s nice there is one right on the property.

A stream runs thru the property… so lovely. Parking is crowded but sufficient. We did not need the heater but there were no instructions for how to operate it. I found out by accident there is parking in the rear. Knowing that in advance would have prevented my companion, who uses a cane, from walking up the stairs. The room was clean but there is some discoloration (rust?) in the tub surround. We had a bad experience with the coffee machine- it only worked for the 12 cup setting& the cup will not hold 12 oz so hot coffee spilled everywhere. No one got burned thankfully.
