We had a great time in the outside hot tub and pool area. One of the best views from a hotel hot tub ever! Longs Peak in the background while you are surrounded by beautifully maintained grounds. Too bad the restaurant was not open. We have enjoyed it many times over the years. Highly recommend this hotel.

A true gem in Estes Park. The staff is so friendly and the lodge is quaint and historic. They have massive plans for renovations. Those will only add to the historic charm! Centrally located

Front desk staff was friendly and parking was easy to find. Excellent location to RMNP is this property’s finest feature. Sadly, this was a very outdated location. No A/C and one of our windows wouldn’t stay open. Our toilet was broken and not fixed during our stay, even with a maintenance request. Breakfast as promised included yesterday’s coffee and nothing else 30 minutes after it was supposed to be available.

This was a great place to stay just enough up the hill that it was quiet but yet close enough to town. The staff was great and helpful. We would definitely stay here again. We were on the motorcycle and it was easy to get to on it.

Beautiful hotel!

Pool and hot tub area bliss! You can propane grill bring food there is a deck for you. The inside is warm and welcoming. Yes it was warm but we survived as we are in a heat wave and the pool is open till 10. Room was fine. Great view kitchen had all we needed. Nice bedding and towels. It’s an older venue so don’t come thinking it’s The Ritz. Come and enjoy the grounds location views and the history of the Crag.

The property was wonderful. The pool was well maintained and had equipment for the kids to use and play with. The games and activities inside were available to all. Popcorn in the evenings was a plus. Highly recommend this hidden gem!!

Great experience. We loved our cute studio room. It exceeded our expectations. It’s a very quaint place with a lot of character.

We had such a relaxing experience. Everything was so very clean. The kitchen was stocked with everything I needed to cook a meal and the pool/hot tub were sparking clean and beautiful. Gus was such a great host making our experience memorable! We will be returning!

The property was in a good location and met most of our needs. Kitchen was stocked with everything needed. However, the room was rather small, the overhead fan was annoying and the floor and towels were rough. Breakfast consisted of bagels, mini muffins, dry cereal, yogurt, juice, milk, coffee, and some fruit. Pool was ok. Pool table was too small and too close to the wall.

This was a great place to stay, but we will be looking forward to coming back again and seeing how some of the amenities have changed for the better. We recognize that they recently reopened and that there are changes that are coming, they just weren't present during our stay.
-
Pictures are misleading only 2 rooms renovated . Overpriced resort charge for no resort amenities . The breakfast is bare minimum . Will not stay for the price paid

Beautiful view. Heated pool. Owner very friendly.
-
Loved our suite! Beautiful and even though they had no a/c, the room was very cool at night.
-
Loved the historic authentic field of this beautiful hotel. The view is unbelievable.

Keep in mind, we visited in the peak of summer, this hotel is over 100 years old, and in the mountains. That being said, there is no AC in the rooms but there were plenty of fans provided which was enough to keep the room cool. The hotel has pretty outdoor areas and well kempt with a sparkling pool, cute fire pit area, and outside sitting area. Loved that the rooms had a small kitchenette to make or heat up food. Also loved the large traditional coffee pot as opposed to what newer hotels offer. There was drinking water in the main lobby and bar area. There is also a small library with books, dvds, and a bunch of board games. This hotel is also right next to the tram way so we could see the little sky cars go up and down. Loved the history and overall feel of this hotel. It only has 27 rooms and is very quiet as opposed to the Stanley that has frequent tours and outside visitors. The staff was very welcoming and helpful. Would absolutely stay here again!

Friendly staff, interesting historical lodge. Rooms were nice. Great mountain feel with a touch of luxury.

The property offers great views, a pool, hot tub, and fire pit. Each room also has a kitchenette.

It’s a “historic” hotel and you can take that to mean “charming and quaint” or “old and decrepit”. Depends on your view. Either way, the hotel is badly in need of renovation, especially given the rates they charge.
