Misty Mountain Lodge

Great location. Basic amenities but everything was clean and functional.

However, bathroom is tiny. There is no dresser to put away clothes. Kitchen was functional, but old and tired. Also, be warned you will hear every footstep above you if you are on the first floor. We were awakened very early (4-5AM) every morning by guests heading to the park early. If I were to return, I would request a room on the second floor. I would also suggest renovating the kitchens.

Quaint hotel with extra perks like bonfire every night and smores. Only downside was that our house didn’t have air conditioning. I know it’s not typically super hot however inside the home was pretty warm

We literally stood across the street and booked a room here and we were able to walk right in. Convenient location to all the shops and restaurants. This is a very small room and even smaller bathroom. Ladies, if you need prep space, you are limited. The place is older but very well maintained and decorated cute. The fire pits and comfy seating was a bonus. I would recommend this for a short two night stay, as we did.

Could stand to have a few more outlets available by the bed. And a few more tables or something in the room.

Location: We could walk to the river walk with local shops and restaurants and it was also only 10-15 min away to RMNP. Onsite parking was great too because downtown parking can be tougher to find. Place: It was excellent, cute, well maintained. It was great having a small kitchen as well. Bed was very comfortable. Liked the outdoor seating areas. Quiet at night and even without AC it was cool and comfortable at night (in August). Amenities & service: we enjoyed the nightly fires and s’mores and the beautifully maintained grounds. The elk enjoyed it too and made a special appearance onsite one night! We also loved seeing hummingbirds every day. The staff was extremely helpful and recommended local spots and hikes! Would definitely recommend!

Great hotel! Walking distance to downtown shops/restaurants. The grounds are so pretty with swings, fire pits, Adirondack chairs, etc. Our room was very nice and had a lot of space.

Whole experience was amazing

The cabin we stayed in was super comfortable and well furnished. The property location was a delight with two gas fire pits with lounge chairs and they provided complimentary fixings to make s'mores! They also had a nice hot tub and lawn games that kept our children entertained. A pleasant oasis super close and walking distance to downtown and plenty of guest parking. We used the sofa bed and it was very comfortable. Would definitely come again as a family. Our experience was great overall. The kitchen was small but serviceable (had to alternate between plugging the coffee maker or microwave). The bath/shower water nozzle was the turn kind, but unfortunately either provided hot or cold, as you had to rotate it one way or the other to get water. Not an issue for a bath but a small inconvenience for a shower. I did notify the helpful front office and they did advise it had broken the week before and they were waiting on parts to fix it properly.

Excellent location for access to downtown Estes Park. Well maintained grounds and excellent outdoor space to enjoy the beautiful mountain scenery and weather. Nothing

Ask if room has A/C, not every room does

There is no AC. If you're visiting in the summer, it's hot during the day which made the lodge get too hot. There was no cross breeze so it didn't cool down. For the price paid per day, a window unit could be put in during the summer and removed in the winter. It was uncomfortable.

Very clean, comfortable and such a great location! No complaints!

The location was excellent. Able to walk downtown in less than 2 minutes. Games on the lawn. Elk visited frequently on the lawn. Fire pit with the makings for s’mores. Staff extremely friendly. Made new friends around fire pit each night.

The location The heat coming into room, need some tint or awning. The couch was not comfortable for 3 adults.

Great place and location

The staff was incredibly thoughtful. During an unusual heat wave, they provided fans even though air conditioning typically isn’t needed at this elevation. That kind of care and attention didn’t go unnoticed. The bed was wonderfully comfortable, the room was beautifully appointed with high-end amenities, and we were welcomed with a sweet handwritten note that immediately made us feel at home. We also loved ending each day around the outdoor fire pit and starting our mornings there with a cup of coffee. The complimentary s’mores packages were such a fun and memorable touch. It’s the little details and genuine hospitality that make a place special, and Misty Mountain delivered both. We left feeling rested, welcomed, and already looking forward to our next visit. Highly recommend!

The room we had was terrible. It had no AC and only a ceiling fan. You could not open the door or the window to get cool air during the night since the room was barely 10 feet from the main road. The main room was so tiny that the bed and the big TV screen were taking all the place. No real chairs, just poufs and stools. No cupboard to put away clothing. No real table to eat or work on. The kitchen was a disaster waiting to happen: the faucet was stuck and could not be moved; there was a microwave oven on top of the fridge that was going to fall down any minute. That oven was also preventing to open the cupboard behind. There was a gas stove that looked like a fire hazard... we did not even try to use it.. it looked so old. In general it felt like the owners were "cheap" and trying to take advantage by "overselling" the property. I would recommend that they redo the room or convert it to a storage room. We got a message on the day we were checking in, that we had been moved to a "more modern room"... I wonder what that was all about ! By the way, we left one day early, but there was never a move by the owner to give us back the money we paid for that one night. If you go there, make sure to avoid getting that old and tiny room next to the road!
