We stayed 4 nights for a family vacation and it was lovely! It is the perfect location if you're visiting Estes Park or Rocky Mountain National Park! We were able to walk downtown Estes Park and not have to worry about parking - which was great! The hotel is older, but they've done a great job of updating! The staff was very helpful -- I had originally booked online and our travel plans changed and the staff was wonderful about helping me change our booking (even though I had booked it through Expedia). Once we got there, the staff was so friendly and helpful with every question we had! Smores at night over the fire were wonderful and the outdoor seating was perfect! I said multiple times throughout our stay "I've never been to a hotel with such friendly and helpful staff!"

If the price was lower, I might have given it higher rating than "okay"...but at that price, I expect no pigeon poop and feathers in the hallway outside our door, and hand soap in the bathroom, and a bathroom cabinet door that doesn't fall off, and no dead bugs in the window seat....

The pool was amazing. Great food on location. Cute furnishings. Nothing.

Our tv never worked during our 5-night stay. They did send a maintenance man but he couldn’t fix it. There is a mini-split AC unit right over the tv and if the air was set to 72 or under, the AC unit would leak water that ran directly over the tv cables. We had to put towels onto the dresser to soak up the water. I complained about this several times to no avail. We had no maid service the first day, and when I called the front office, the cleaning crew was already gone but they would make sure it was done the next day. I saw the maids cleaning other rooms around us the next morning and mentioned that our room needed to be cleaned. I was told that I needed to tell the head housekeeper - ??? Apparently even though their ad says daily maid service, you actually have to request it. When it was cleaned, they did a good job. My companion went to the office to inquire as to where the ice machine was. A rather rude lady said “it’s not working - what do you need?” Umm - ice. The lady got exasperated and complained that she was tired of having to go down to the basement do get ice for people (then get the ice machine fixed!) I believe there are new owners. I will say that when we checked out we were given a $200 credit for our inconveniences.

Restaurant on site but we didn’t use it. I would not rate this accommodation as 4* although we did enjoy our stay. We did have an issue with room charges (credit card charged despite us prepaying ) and this is ongoing so hope it is resolved quickly.

We loved the look of the property from the outside at first but as soon as you try and reach your room you are fighting with a million pigeons. There is pigeon poop all over the entire property. It’s weird because we didn’t see one pigeon in the entire area, they are all living at this hotel. Poop all over the walk ways and on the pool loungers. So gross. Our shower was also completely clogged. I tried in the middle of my first shower to try and see what was going on and found a bandaid in the drain. Even after removing which was the most disgusting thing, it was still clogged. Because we got home so late that night we didn’t want to call maintenance so my husband and kid waited until the morning. My kid did have fun in the pool and making s’mores, however overall we will not be staying here again unfortunately.

Room amenities were lacking. For the age of the building and the price, it was decent. We did have one amenity, and that was s’mores in the evening, and there were elk around with their babies. That was the best part of it. Parking was good. I would give it a 3.5 stars.

Great property and close to everything you need. Used the bikes to go around Estes Lake by crossing the road. Wildlife was walking on the grounds too, deer come within ten feet while on the hammocks if you’re lucky! No complaints.

We enjoyed our stay. The front desk clerk was not so friendly though. Upon checking in, he was distracted with text messages and was a bit cold. When we checked out he again was cold. I don’t know if he has a problem with people who book through a third party vender, but on two occasions, checking in then checking out, he said something about the fact I booked through a third party vender with a rather unsavory tone. The food was good as well as the server.

Location, staff and pool. The bathroom window was broken and would not secure or close.

Location, Friendly staff, great service Nothing

Needs a lot of updating in the room. Could not turn on heat and no air flow in room.

The location to downtown, shuttles to Rocky Mountain National Park, Stanley Hotel. Didn’t use car for the five days that we were there. General area with restaurant and bar was nice.

Great location, friendly and attentive service, close to downtown Estes. Bar closed early

We had a great experience and enjoyed the proximity to Estes Lake and downtown Estes Park. We were able to enter into RMNP in less than 15 minutes and it made for a perfect place at the end of long days hiking and rafting. My only complaint was that we had very loud guests above us, and it sounded like they were tearing down the room above us. Nothing that the hotel staff could change, but since it is a renovated motel, the walls/floors are thin.

The room was spacious. No microwave in the room or continental breakfast available at all. The hidden $150 fee with $25/day amenities fee for smores and the pool were an unexpected and unwelcome charge. I did not use either.

Beautiful setting, friendly staff, great atmosphere! Highly recommend!

I canceled my stay as soon as I saw the room. The sofa had stains all over it, the door wouldn’t close it was broken. The bathroom had no toilet paper and there was hair all over the shower. This place is not well kept at all.

Clean room, helpful staff, nice outdoor patio area.

We enjoyed the stay and property. Bar and food on site. S’mores free between 6-9. Definitely would stay there again the town is walkable but we drove closer because we are just lazy.
