Motel 6 Fairfield, CA - North

I was assigned a room right next to an indoor vending machine without notice, thus there was loud noise outside my room at all hours.

No coffee maker in room No breakfast despite the description Very noisy neighbors People honking horns & in & out all night

Never got a chance because they got my date mixed up and had a hard time with booking.com still waiting for my refund the lady at the desk was very nice she tried to help me but booking.com kept hanging at the phone on me and the receptionist

My stay was good staff was nice and friendly. The only problem is I used my card for the $50 deposit and instead of issuing a refund it was actually charged. This happened before and they say it takes 3-5 business days to get the refund back but it shouldn’t have been charged in the first place, and when I say charged I mean it posted to my account as a debit purchase, honestly I feel like they do it purposely hoping consumers don’t notice and so they can keep your money.

Room had a very unpleasant smell. We just needed a place to shower and sleep so it was just okay. Wouldn’t recommend for more than a quick overnight stay.

The front desk gentleman said the system was down but he overcame and found a way to proceed I walked in girl at front desk lobby said sorry system down cash only and keep walking didnt even try to ask if I had a reservation or offer any assistance. Thankfully the gentleman stepped up to help. TV in room difficult to navigate no instructions .

Someone always in the office. Maintenance man very much in evidence.

Room was clean, air conditioning worked well

I stayed 3 nights and had my dog with me. We were able to take walks around the area each day.

Price. Gated parking. The staff was very nice Only 2 pillows. In all my years of travel I have never been only given 2 pillows. The walkway into the rooms were filthy.

The floor in our room was visibly dirty, there was a spill on the floor that was sticky, looked like only the linens were changed. Then in the middle of the night the fire alarm kept going off every hour to half hour.

The room was clean, only overhead lights, no shampoo or conditioner, pool was a nice feature
