Courtyard by Marriott Fairfield Napa Valley Area

King bedroom was extra spacious with plenty of space. The towels were nice clean and thick.

The A/C was also extremely loud all night. Finding someone else’s dirty belongings made us question how thoroughly the room had been cleaned, including whether the bed linens had even been changed. Overall, it was a disappointing stay.

Wonderful hotel, great staff and an amazing bistro.

Over all comfortable and clean. Husband was disappointed that the pool was closed due to a bird casulities. The staff were nice and gave us a couple of perks.

Elevator very small and very slow. Rest of hotel was great though.

The room felt dated. The a/c unit was loud and a musty smell came out of it. The toilet was broken the whole time we were there. We requested it be fixed and it worked for 1/2 a day then broke again. We had to manually fix it after every use. The laundry facilities didn’t accept credit card so we needed to use an app or quarters. We downloaded the app, created an account, and loaded $10 only to have issues connecting to the washer. We tried several times to reach someone at the phone number posted and got the run around. I will have to pursue getting our $10 back when we get home. The front desk staff were helpful and provided us with quarters. There are nicer hotels to stay at and in general, our last few times staying at Courtyards were pretty underwhelming.

I first want to say that the staff was very kind and polite throughout my entire stay. Zero complaints there. But holy moly the amount they are charging for the quality of the hotel was astounding to me. My bathtub drain plug wouldn’t stay open when I would take a shower. There were stains all over the furniture and walls. Wall paper was peeling. Furniture was peeling. It looked like there were spots of mold that were attempted to be cleaned up in the bathroom. The shower curtain kept coming off the hooks whenever I moved it. The towels were so thin and rough. Hallways were sweltering hot. It was clean overall but if Marriott is going to charge the prices that they are charging then that hotel needs some serious upgrades.

Easy stop for a work traveler. Close to food and a grocery store! Very clean, attractive hotel.

Breakfast was okay, but it’s all pre-fab and microwave stuff and very overpriced, as was the Starbucks branded coffee. The supposed “restaurant & bar” onsite is actually the same breakfast counter space and they don’t serve actual meals beyond breakfast. The restaurant that used to be there before Marriott took over the property is long gone; conference rooms now occupy the space. The biggest downside is the hotel is showing its wear. The bed was definitely old and in need of being replaced. The elevator is barely big enough to hold you and the bellhop cart. The furniture in the room was also showing its age, as were the window treatments that had to be a hold over from its Holiday Inn days, and did not close all the way. The AC/heating system had a mind of its own and would bliw either ice cold or crazy hot - nothing in between - and the wall thermostat did not seem to really talk to the ancient wall unit under the window. Our seriously overpriced balcony room had a balcony alright, with the door rigged to not open and no furniture on the patio if it did. It did have a wonderful view of I80 and the poor insulation gave us the full enjoyment of the loud traffic all the time. Bottom line - we stay at a lot of Marriott properties and we will definitely not be returning to this one.

My favorite place to stay when I go to Fairfield. Denney's and In and Out burger right next door. Grocery store a block away. No breakfast but like I said a Denneys next door. Nice exercise room. Lots of room for bigger rigs (I pull travel trailers)

The staff was very accommodating. The room was spacious and clean. Nice workout room with plenty of machines.

The warm and friendly welcome back from the front desk attendant, David. The facility is well maintained. I can't think of anything.
