Larkspur Landing Extended Stay Suites Folsom

We booked an accessible suite for our trip. It was great, my son could move around in his wheelchair and was able to take a shower. Our only issue was the fan in the bedroom. The A/C got the living room nice and cold but it didn’t pump into the bedroom the way it was supposed to. They had a freestanding fan in there, it was broken but worked. But definitely didn’t cool down the room enough. We were melting all night.

The room could use new furniture and upgrades. The couch very uncomfortable. The bed uncomfortable. Tub shower hard to get in and out safely.

Second stay here, they are very motorcycle friendly and allowed me to park my bike where I could see it from my room very close to the front door.

Exceptional

For a hotel its nothing special, same as the others, nothing defining. Same ice cream, different sprinkles. The one thing that sits it apart is charging $12 for parking in an open lot. The place isn't behind anything but a paywall, no fence, no gate no property delineation. The guy looked at my like i was the problem when i asked "where's the special parking?" I mean did they tell anyone else at the Hilton Garden Inn Folsom, the Theater, cigar shop or the taco express they could charge.. its all the same lot. I asked what about if i park at the taco express or the Cinemark and his go to comeback was "i don't think anyone is gonna walk" WELL lets see about that. Hey Larkspur, you guys need a property manager? I can bring a few loyal employees and a few hundred guests with me. Once we get this whole pay to park nonsense cleared up. To charge 12 bucks to park in a Shared OPEN entertainment complex is crazy. Then to offer; we take no responsibility on the ticket is the cherry on top. Lets focus on the experience people will pay for and not have to find extra costs to tack on to people looking to stay. If you're not making enough revenue then make it worth the cost and you wont have to resort to tactics like having the guests pay 12 bucks and get nothing extra out of it. I wonder if the Teriyaki Station gets some of that?.

My favorite hotel! Great staff. Clean. Good amenities. Excellent value. Beautiful design The hallway rugs are looking a bit worn, the AC units are a little loud. I recall there being boiled eggs at breakfast once, but I don’t see them now. I would have liked that.

We were next to the elevator which was awful. It was so loud. Someone was cooking in the kitchenette and set the fire alarm off at 1:00 in the morning. The staff got the alarm off quickly.

They said that Booking.com made a mistake on the reservation and they were full so didn't have the room we reserved. We had to take another room with only one queen size bed.

The breakfast did not appeal to us. We did not have anything from it. The room was clean but the counter in bath was very marred, stained and damaged

No late check-out

Room was a bit outdated. Fan in the bedroom wasn’t operational, so the bedroom was considerably warmer than the living and kitchen area. There were small ants in the shower in the morning. Breakfast area served minimal food options with no dinning area for guests to eat.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. The hotel was very quiet. And the area had a lot of food and entertainment selections near by.

It was clean and quiet. The staff was very friendly and helpful. There was a nice free breakfast, plenty of good coffee available all day and cookies at the front desk in the evening. They allow dogs and were very welcoming to my dog. I will stay there again.

Great location. Close to dining and shopping.

Staff was helpful when present. No one at the desk when checking out, We left after waiting at the front desk for a bit. Room was ok but there was a lot of visible repairs that were poorly done. Bathroom has no ventilation. Hallways were very stinky. Complimentary breakfast was terrible. Overall, this hotel served the purpose of having a place to sleep for the night. Not sure if I would stay for multiple nights. I would recommend eating breakfast elsewhere. Not worth the $180 price tag.

I wonder why they charge for parking when it is surrounded by huge empty parking lots. Reserved and paid for a one-bedroom but ended up with a studio. I didn't want to deal with complaining about it, So instead I'll just be angry.

Bathroom and carpeting need better cleaning. Lots of hair in shower and the carpet was filthy.
