We checked in about 9pm. The room was disgusting. There was a tissue on the floor, hair on the back of the toilet. The things in the room were broken. The mirrors were dirty. We checked out at 9:05pm. Not recommended at all

Very clean would stay there again

We chose the hotel for the large room equipped with a full refrigerator and short drive to the lake.

great staff and breakfast!

Lobby was under construction and just looked in poor repair. Drywall all busted up or unpainted. Weird old satellite tv, not a huge deal, it worked adequately. Bed was fine, bathroom was fine. The surrounding neighborhood definitely had a number of unhoused. No problems with anyone, but you think about it when trying to find a spot in the tiny parking lot. You might have to park on the street.

Shower was leaking constantly and the toilet was sputtering. The controls for the shower were upside down. There's no blackout curtains and with kids that's terrible. My wife created some somewhat-blackout curtains with blankets that I got from the front desk. The guy that works the desk at night treated it as an inconvenience. There's a single chair and we have a family of 4 so we had to eat while sitting on the bed. There's a kitchenette but there's no table, other than an office desk. There's a gap around the door that allows light in at night. The hall smells like pot, probably because anybody can walk into the lobby. The parking lot is quite small. We had to park on the street instead. The breakfast was good though.

The hotel is in a remodel. With that said I felt the staff did everything to help us and make our stay easy.

Room and bathroom were spacious and very clean. Hallways and carpet very clean. Our room had very comfortable king bed, refrigerator with freezer, kitchen sink and microwave and stove with two electric burners and a coffee maker. Staff efficient and courteous. Would stay again

Great location right off hwy50. Mcdonalds, chevron and ampm all within a one minute walk. Drapes dont keep the lights out very well, bring a sleep mask if you need it dark to sleep

Our room was updated and nice. The hotel was quiet. The air conditioning unit was loud and didn't work very well. The breakfast was good.

I just completed a 2 night stay at this property and I would not recommend. We woke up to ants in our room after the first night. The staff moved us but that was very inconvenient. I guess I should’ve known something after the can of bug spray was on the counter when I checked in. Apparently the property was having some work done which I was not aware of. The day of checkout our television stopped working 3 hours before checkout. Staff knocked on the door asking to come in to change out the cable box which I guess every room was having the cable boxes switched out. That should have been arranged for after checkout not 3 hours before. I don’t like to do reviews but I had a not so great experience for my first time staying at a Hawthorn Suites which I will never do again!!

Budget friendly hotel with free breakfast.

The place is great except the bed is super hard. Very uncomfortable. We left a day early because of this.
-
The curtains did not cover the window shades which let the light in and hard to sleep. No breakfast food. It was lacking if you came in the last hour.

Very clean nice At night lot of noise
