Days Inn by Wyndham Fort Dodge

The staff was nice. The property was a little run down but we just needed somewhere to sleep.

This property need some work in room

The whole place smelled not just the room. They had a bug lantern turned on sitting on the table where you ate your breakfast they provided which we never ate ate because it was gross and bugs dead on the floor and table top. Had to buy my own cleaning supplies to clean our room because it was so dirty. Would not sleep under the sheets because of the stains and the filthy walls with yellow streaks and dark speckled spots. Wanted to checkout and go somewhere else but the had charge my card for our stay and would not refund, plus charged us $75 deposit on the room and only returned $70 because of a spot on one of the bed covers that was there when we took the room. Save your money go any where but here. There are no fresh towels and wash cloths one you start your stay you are told to keep reusing them and hang them up to dry. I took our wash clothes to the desk and asked for new and they wanted to charge us $25 for fresh towel& wash cloths and if you want an alarm clock they charge you $25 to get one at the desk. I went to the dollar store and bought cleaning supplies, towels and wash cloths for us to use. Very unhappy and disgusted.

Booked the stay because I was traveling alone and it was cheap. The room was dirty when I arrived. It smelled of dirty diapers. My wife would never have stayed there had she been with me. I gave staff the benefit of the doubt that perhaps housekeeping had a bad day and didn’t complain. I only needed a place to sleep and left early the next day. When my credit card statement arrived an extra $20 had been charged separately from my bill. When I contacted them they claimed it was for a “food spot” on a towel. I did not eat in that room. I have attempted polite resolution but have not been able to have this rectified.

My room was spacious and clean. The fellows I met at the front desk when I checked in and checked out were both friendly and helpful. The location of this hotel is fantastic! There are 3 restaurants right in the same parking lot and within a 5 minute drive there is all sorts of shopping... Walmart, Target. Hy-Vee, Aldi, etc...plus all sorts of fast food and sit down restaurants, gas stations, other shopping, etc. The price of the hotel was also excellent. Breakfast was OK ..very simple but fine... but even when I went right at 6:00 AM when breakfast was supposed to start there was only a half cup of coffee left.

Perhaps the worse hotel experience of my life Did not stay there after clerk told me she wanted $75 deposit for stains that I might leave on the sheets…after she tried to charge me twice. You should be ashamed of yourselves selling me this room

This was probably the worst hotel we have ever booked, we stayed maybe 15 minutes until we saw a roach crawl across the floor. Behind the check in desk was filthy and the hallways were dirty and extremely hot. You could not pay me enough to stay here. We did receive a refund before scrambling to find a different hotel. I would NOT recommend this hotel to anyone!

Everything was dry. Need to work on it. Didn't have much.

We needed a hotel room for the night and this hotel fit the bill. Breakfast was even included.

Plenty of hot water Bathroom floor was dirty, bathroom door stuck and door knob ready to come off, bathroom sink had no stopper

We needed a couple of rooms for a quick stay. The hotel definetely needs some updates the continental breakfast was not great. However the neighborhood was fine, I felt safe and it was a 1/3 of the price of the other hotels in the area. I needed a private wifi for my work PC to connect and the desk clerk helped me set it up!

I’m still waiting to get my deposit back and the staff was rude.

We were charged more than the amount when quoted on the website when I reserved the room. Website said 69.89, we were cgarged 75.04. Also had $75 charged to my credit card in addition to my sister's card for the room stay. Deposit?

Rooms was cleaned and bed was soft.

It was an old building, but clean

It was very inexpensive so I didn’t expect much. It served our purpose for an overnight stop. It had a sketchy vibe but no issues in the 8 hours we were there.
