The rooms were not ready for check in at 4 p.m. We waited 1.5 hours to check in to find the room didn't have bed linens or bath towels and a fire alarm that kept beeping every 5 minutes. We notifed the front desk staff abd were told they'd have the situation resolved shortly while we were out for the night. We got back at 9:30 p.m. and found nothing had been done. The front staff told me to go directly to house keeping to get the missing linens and towels. I went to house keeping and they said they didn't have any available and they sent me back to the front desk to request another room. We eventually got into another room. But that room had a TV and remote that didn't work with each other. There was no fridge in that room and the hot water didn't work. as it was 10:30 p.m. by this point we went ahead and stayed in the second room. The entire hotel was filthy and smelled of Marijuana. Furniture in the room was broken and everything was dirty with trash on the floors and hallways.

In the reservation, it say breakfast was included ans wasn't. The are was blocked. When I arrived at checking and when to my room, there wasn't any towels, no batteries on the TV remote and there wasn't a microwave on on the room. Just a little box fridge. I went down to the counter to request towels and the batteries, they told me they will work on it. Then I went out to eat and when a return about 4 hours later there still wasn't any towels or batteries y hab to go down again to the reception.

Clean room but bathroom needed attention. Many things need to be upgraded. It needs better management to implement rules and order for a more comfortable and peaceful stay.

1 word terrible no hot water dead roach embedded with the paint need I say more :/
-
Ok hotel. Lot of issues in the hallways (leaking ceilings, dirty towels outside rooms). The room itself was clean though. No desk though - was hard to do some work.

Stupid front desk employees. Dirty hotel.

While I was there, there was no running water, and management did not provide any notice or explanation. In my opinion, the property is unsafe and poorly maintained. It looks like a building with crackheads and prostitution. Code enforcement should inspect the building, as it does not appear to be a safe place for guests. And yes I ask for a refund.

The room was clean but lacks amenities for comfort. Hotel is being renovated so some things are not properly in place. Staff need better training and there are no rules for department and prpperly covered body walking through lobby. Place needs order and casual rules to keep the reputation of the business. Rooms need combination of microwave and refrigerator as restaurant is not in operation. Food warming in Lobby should be canceled. Some staff need to be more presentable in attire for the guests. I still book for the reasonable rates on some sites.

The Plaza hotel Fort Lauderdale is as low as you can go. Dirty lobby, shady people hanging around the parking lot and rude staff. Avoid thus hotel!!!
-
Overall the place is pay what you get. If you’re looking something cheap and decent then this is your spot! I personally won’t be going back I had food delivered from door dash to my unit and the security guard tried to steal my food by claiming he was me!! Overall 2/5 experience.

Nothing it was dirty an I get videos of the coach roaches

Honestly this hotel was the worse decision in my adult life. The hotel was dirty and sketchy, they have a no smoking policy yet everything and everywhere was stink of weed. I went to check in Sofia was cool and did her best to accommodate but each room had a fault, first room sink was peeling and wig pieces were on the floor, second room was better but the bathroom was dirty, toilet tub mirror and sink and finally the third room which was on their VIP Floor, there was hair in the bedroom, hair and roaches in the bathroom. But because I was tired I was willing to take this one if they had cleaned the room again but when I went back door stairs there was ppl fighting in the street, a hooker ( yes!) ran through the halls, with security following her, then a man running behind her with a gun on him threatening to kill her then police coming there and poor Sofia looking out the lobby. It was the absolute worst experience ever. I put in for a refund because I had to stay at holiday inn instead and I have yet to receive it. And the manager did not come out once to assist in any manner.

this property is not a hotel. It’s where people live who can’t afford to have apartments. The property is not maintained that ball. I walked into the room and there was stains on the sheets. The walls were peeled and chipped. There was urine and human hair on the toilet and in the shower and here are the pictures.

Dont trust the pictures. The building has no upkeep. Pool not sufficient for summer (or at all). Day two was woken in the night by bugs in my bed and room. Tv doesnt work. Staff was nice

I feared for my personal safety and am fighting to get my money refunded to me

Don't stay here the hotel is a hot stinky mess
-
The place had cockroaches no breakfast as they advertise it don’t deserve three stars and a half needs remodeling it’s sad that the place can have so much more potential they’re making you pay $100 deposit when you check in the front staff was not too nice she had an attitude The whole area is open, but it was not too clean. The bar is not open no food or stores inside false advertisement.
-
As long as your Caribbean, you would love this hotel .. there is no Breakfast. I guess there was once upon a time or coming soon. The staff attitude is ugly. The security guards have way more respect for guest … the live in people who live here don’t pay them no mine other than that spacious room and a nightclub next-door

Front desk was pleasant , random people in the parking lot hanging around but there was security inside. The premises is dated and found roaches in many areas of the room and stains in the tub.
