The major issue with the property is that is dated; it was like an unpleasant trip to the past. The beach view was obstructed by what looked like a trailer park. It was not very relaxing, so we decided to leave earlier.
-
The room was simple and clean, but the door jamb was a little messed up. The pool area was fun, but the beach and view were amazing. Not too crowded at all. Within walking distance of the boardwalk restaurants and the pier.

On the beach and pool was nice. Staff was ok at best. Drinks and even waters were extremely pricey for the type of “resort” it was. If you want beach and big hotel pool, it’s for you. If you’re expecting an actual resort keep looking.

Everything was amazing except for the pool area. It needs more seating and better towels, the towels were very wore out and ruff on you skin. But the pool itself was very nice. You had to get to the pool very early to get a seat. The resort was outdated, but very clean and friendly. Shops and restaurants were walkable distances. The outdoor area was so relaxing, had lots of different areas to sit and relax. I will be going back.

Check in was easy everyone was very nice beautiful views

The location and the property are great, but for rooms costing over $300 per night, I expected better maintenance. The curtains were dirty and damaged, and the bathrooms were not as clean as they should have been when we arrived. The food was good, but the waitstaff could use more support, especially around the pool area, where service was slow at times. That said, we really enjoyed the amenities and the convenience of the hotel. Overall, it was a pleasant stay, but there is definitely room for improvement in the upkeep of the rooms and service.

Parking was another frustration. Finding a spot was difficult, and having to use the parking garage made it even more inconvenient. For the amount guests are paying, parking should be much easier or included. We also paid for breakfast but only ate there once. We barely used any of the hotel’s amenities—we didn’t use the beach or the pool because the chairs were already taken most of the time. Instead, we ended up driving to Destin to enjoy the beach there. Overall, we feel this hotel is significantly overpriced for what it offers. The outdated accommodations, expensive extra fees, and limited access to amenities made it difficult to justify the cost. Unfortunately, we would not stay here again.

Muy sobrevalorado Hotel , muy básico para el precio , la comida horrible lo único que se puede destacar es el bar de la piscina

Weather was great and a lot of sun. The A/C u it in our room made a horrible sound and kept us up the whole first night. They came and replaced it the next day.room service was great but the food on grounds lacked a lot for the price you pay. The restaurant on grounds was ok but the greeter was not very professional. Over all it was great vacation but not worth the price. Next year we are going to look else we’re that’s cheaper and nicer.

Central to the beach, pools bars and good food. Great place for friends and also very family friendly.
-
There was no security around the pool area. People were doing flips off the side and running and jumping you could never get in touch with anybody in the management staff for front desk. The room was clean housekeeping was terrible on the bed making with the room was clean.

My favorite Florida resort! Beautiful establishment and Friendly and excellent Staff.

The Island Resort was a great place to land during our stay in Florida. The resort itself is older and smaller, but you cannot beat the pool and access to the beach! We loved having great food options available so close and the heated pool was where we landed on most days. It was very family oriented and had fun community gatherings on the patio between the resort and the beach. We loved sitting on the balcony and listening to the live music, all while enjoying the ocean view! We traveled with our 6 and 8 year old children and would definitely visit again!

Everything was right at our fingertips, from the pool to the beach to food and drinks, to walking to other locations nearby and everything was reasonably priced. Very relaxing, we stayed in the sunshine house floor 1 and would absolutely request that building again and go back!

Too much money for basic amenities

We almost let the mixed reviews deter us from staying at the Island Resort. We are so glad that we didn’t as we had a very pleasurable experience! They let us check-in early. Every staff interaction was pleasant and helpful. Our room in the beach house (5th floor) was great and the view was top notch. The bed was comfortable, but not to sleep on, per se (we are spoiled with a Termpurpedic at home). We literally parked the car upon arrival and it didn’t move til we checked out. We didn’t find it necessary to leave the resort, which was so nice. There was love entertainment every night and fireworks off the pier on Wednesday. The beach set up crew is nice and reasonably priced. We never hung out around the pools, but they were always packed and well maintained. We loved the Sea Oats Bar/Restaurant; very nice experiences there and touches. We loved our stay!

Bathroom so small you could barely move. I went to front desk and told them I wanted an upgrade. They accommodated me. Upgraded to a nicer more spacious room with a balcony for $20 a night more. Definitely worth the upgrade. The resort was nice. Several restaurants on sight and multiple bars on site. Pool is open until 11pm. My daughter loved night swims with some friends she met. Staff was really nice.

Very clean and good environment. All staff are helpful and you really don’t need to leave the resort unless you really want to, improvements could be made on the day pass visitors having the ability to to take seats at the pool from those staying at the resort.
