Location was good as close to stadium and coffee Room was so hot. No way to get cool. Could hear when others come in and out. Bed was comfortable but was 2 twins together so always shifted to the middle. Bathroom flooded at night with rain, had to use towel to sop up water and quiet the noise of water dripping.

It’s a quirky little place! The fresh fruit and snacks that were available in the tea room were a lovely surprise. The location and easy access to parking were great. I like the keyless entry and that the doors automatically locked. I appreciated having a desk. I sat there to do some writing each day. The shower was fun, although maybe overly complicated for the space. The ear plugs in the desk were a thoughtful touch! None of the things I’m about to write are deal-breakers. I just have a few thoughts aboutbsome things that might improve the experience for future travelers. I’m also aware that the setting of a historic guest house may be influencing some of the choices made when appointing the room. I brought my clean shirts on hangers, and it would have been nice to have a bar to hang them on. Perhaps a shelf behind the door above the luggage rack would be a good spot for a shelf with a hanging bar? It was noisy in my room, but I knew that when I booked it. The regular traffic was not that bad, but the cars that went by gunning their engines were quite disruptive. It sounded like a drag strip! Any chance of lobbying for a noise ordinance, a lower speed limit, or enforcement of the existing speed limit? I enjoyed the interesting items on the shelves above the desk, but I ended up moving most of them to make space for my belongings. Since there isn’t much storage space in the room, fewer decorative items might be nice. A brighter overhead light that also goes completely dark when turned off would be nice. The loveseat made sense in the room, but it looked a bit worn and was not particularly comfortable when used for its intended purpose.

The location was perfect for what I was doing in Fort Wayne. I was at the convention center just a few blocks away.

The historic presence was incredible with photos and related items of previous years and generations. This property had the most traffic noise I have ever heard. The vehicle traffic on Washington Street was relentless. Lasted until 3:00am.

We stayed in the Henry Lawton room. The king size bed was 2 different mattresses put together. My wife & I kept falling in between the mattresses. There was an exit door across from the bathroom with a green exit sign that was very bright. Should have had some type of curtain to block out the light.

It was a lovely place to stay. Like a help yourself bed and breakfast. It was a very interesting property, not like a normal hotel.

Great The heating. Couldn’t control how hot the room is and couldn’t open any windows to cool off room

The room was amazing! The bed and pillows were so comfortable and the fireplace made the room so cozy. The hot tub bathtub was so relaxing and well needed. The stairs were a lot but the room made it so worth it. Had a great time and will stay here again!! The stairs were a lot to climb but the Sion Bass room was so great it was worth the climb!

Positives; Location with walking distance to food and beverage. Decent shower Television Snacks and coffee in common area Beautiful original woodwork Negatives The building was restored in 2003. It win an award. However after 23 years it definitely needs a facelift. The bedding was dirty and crusty in spots There was a strange fragrance in the room that was very much like “old musty” perfume. The room would have been ice without the electric fireplace.

Size of shower. All the bells and whistles weren’t needed as much as I needed more space.

Easy, consistent communication from the property management. the air-conditioning was really appreciated with the heat outside. I am a woman of average size, but the shower felt kinda small.

Very nice and clean and Love that it's within in walking distance to restaurants shops and bars- Love the Starbucks right behind the building. Very nice rooms and love the beauty of this old house. Wish there was room service but definitely appreciated the free snacks and coffee.

The room we stayed in was lovely. The bed was very comfortable. The bathroom with the jet tub was a bonus for us. It was a great touch with the popcorn and morning snacks. There were a group of, I'll say younger, kids that were right next to us. They were quite loud but it didn't stop our great stay.

The spa tub was wonderful. The bed was super comfortable. Check in was easy. Small fridge in room and a large fridge in lobby area. History of the house was fun to learn.
