The pixs don't do justice to this quaint little hotel in the heart of Franschhoek!!

Friendly staff Breakfast choice
-
Great location , close to Main Street for restaurants and shops but just far enough away to be quiet .

The location is great and so easy to walk to the nearby restaurants! Also the staff was so kind & hospitable!
-
Walkable to town, which was convenient. Nice gardens, relaxing atmosphere. Forgot to give us our packed breakfast.
-
Really great location if you want to be in town. The room was great, very spacious and the staff were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was really good, not a big quiche eater but the breakfast one was amazing.

Beautiful property and extremely accommodating and hospitable staff.

This small property is well maintained and the staff is very attentive. The room had everything we needed. The included breakfast had a nice variety of items including fresh fruit. It is only 2 blocks from the Main Street in town and 15 minute walk to the wine tram. The mattress was a little firmer than we like but they gave us an extra duvet to sleep on which helped.

We arrived before 5.30pm and the reception was shut. Someone was standing with a key and took us to our room and said the Manager would see us in the morning. We went to breakfast just after 8am as the reception was still locked up. Such a shame we stayed for two nights and it was one the most expensive of our time on the garden route ... And yet the only ones who weren't friendly, helpful or having an open decent reception time for guests. Also it was the only place we stayed at that didn't provide bottled water in the rooms. It all looks lovely but is soulless, such a disappointment.

No comfortable chairs no table and no dresser I.e. nowhere to place any loose bits and pieces so coffee station too low down. Perhaps a larger television ...

Fabulous location, very secure and safe

Our room wasn’t great as you entered through the bathroom. I felt that the price was quite high for what we got. The TV on the wall was tiny and plugs were sticking out underneath. Not the standard that I was expecting. The external spaces are lovely

The guest house is in a lovely location and the property itself has potential to be very charming. The garden and pool area were peaceful, and the room was nicely decorated. The staff I interacted with in person were polite and tried to help once the bedding issue was acknowledged. We requested non-feather bedding due to my allergy and were assured twice this would be provided, but the bed was filled with feather and down. With no staff on-site overnight and no way to open the windows, my partner and I had a sleepless night, and I woke up sick with a closed throat and headache. Staff initially denied it was feather until I showed the label. No compensation was offered, only a free breakfast for a future visit – which is useless as I live in the UK. The towels were worn and frayed, the bathroom drains were blocked, the TV was tiny, there was only one bath sheet on the last night, the air freshener was broken, and there were no towels at the pool in the evening. Unprofessional language was also used by management in internal messages about the issue – not what you expect from a premium guest house.

Friendly staff & great location

Absolutely nothing to complain about. We will return whenever we return to Franschhoek. Perfectly located for central starting point.

Lovely property in a very convenient location. The wonderful staff could not have been more helpful. I can't think of anything
-
Beautiful gardens and pool area. Fabulous location a short stroll into town. Room decor very tasteful. The coffee machine was broken so no coffee available at breakfast. Suggest they have cafetieres as back-up.
-
great location, super easy to walk into the Main St and restaurants, beautiful grounds, awesome breakfast If I gotta find something, my room (#4) was right off the street and so there was some noise but nothing too much
-
I would suggest that the property could be a bit better kept up by paying attention to details ... like controlling cleanliness and if everything is properly functioning - like the light bulbs... at the swimming pool the covers should be cleaned or replaced... the current situation doesn't leave too good of an impression of up-keep ... thank you !
