Reviews

The hosts were delightful and friendly. The location is also ideal for our needs, walkable from downtown and the Frederick Keys ballpark.
-
The location was also convenient, being close to downtown and a store where snacks and other essentials could be purchased. A thoughtful touch was the small refrigerator on the main floor stocked with complimentary wine and water for guests. There were only a couple of minor drawbacks. The room would have benefited from having a pen and notepad available. Additionally, the bathroom sink was quite small, and the glass shelf extending from the corner above it created a hazard—it would be easy to bump your head while bending down to wash your face. Breakfast was good, and Betty prepared a delicious vegetable frittata along with coffee cake. While both were enjoyable, it would have been nice to have an additional breakfast option for guests who do not prefer eggs, such as pancakes or another alternative. Overall, this was a lovely getaway with attentive hosts, a comfortable atmosphere, and several thoughtful amenities. We would certainly consider staying again.

Hosts were very personable. House is beautiful.

Lovely little bed and breakfast. Very quirky and memorable. It’s old so expect vintage charm.
-
On street parking was extremely accessible and the caretakers did a fantastic job of making sure we had a spot right out front. There are plenty of shops, restaurants and other tractions in a less than 5-minute walk.
-
VERY welcoming hosts! Great location - walking distance to shops and river area.
-
Wonderful stay with an excellent bath and kind, attentive hosts. I'll be back!
-
Location (easy walk to historical downtown), Phil and Betty were exceptional hosts, very nice breakfast, good value. Clawfoot tub was a little difficult to get in, but then we discovered the footstep to facilitate getting in.
-
Staff was so kind, rooms were very clean, space is eclectic as in the photos. It was a bit loud at night.
-
They sat with us for breakfast, it really was like having breakfast with actual people. The inside structure, and their choices for ambience made this a great step into another time. Napes. Nothing. Oh wait. We heard one very polite yip at one point at a very decent hour. Probably one of their dogs that was desperate to make my acquaintance. :-)

We had a lovely stay. It was only one night but Phil and Betty were so kind and caring. Hoping to visit them again in the future!

Breakfast and location were lovely and the Victorian ambiance fit in perfectly with the town itself. Would be helpful to have brighter bulbs in the bedroom for reading.
