The man at the front desk was notified n I asked him if that was poor housekeeping because the bed was not changed or sheets come through laundry that way. He guessed the latter with little conviction. I asked for new sheets and he said he would find some, but did offer another room. I checked it out before switching and the a/c was set to high temp and it had a foul stench. I assume because the room wasn’t prepped for checkin. My check in room was cool n didn’t overwhelm you when entering with A musty pet mix smell. The man then proposed he could refund the cost and I said that would be great n thanked him. At this time it’s after midnight and a long drive from out of state and I was tired. . What I didn’t realize is he meant cancel the reservation which would leave me with no place to stay in the early am hrs traveling alone and a woman in her 60s. I couldn’t imagine that was his solution suggestion so I didn’t catch it until he requested I drop the key off. Who does that! Regarding the AC … the hotel hallways, elevators n common areas had scarce AC n were warm n humid. I didn’t ask if they were on save energy mode, but very unpleasant. I made up my bed with the sheets provided and got ready for bed. I smelt the mildew funk I smelt in other room after 5 mins of sitting in bed. It wasn’t a good experience

The bed was comfortable. The hotel is definitely showing its age. Our room was clean, a bit muggy even with the air adjusted. Bathroom was extremely small. Check-in was quick and easy. Front desk staff was very helpful and kind. Would stay again for an affordable place that was clean.

Great breakfast! Friendly and helpful staff!

Its an old property but It’s a value for money, don’t keep high expectations of service.

Good location, breakfast

Our room was not cleaned well. Bathroom was tiny, burnt out lights, barely any blankets on the bed, fixtures falling apart. The water heater cover fell off and the list goes on. The hallways were dirty and smelt very dank. Bed was horribly uncomfortable. I was shocked at the overall quality of this Best Western and would not stay again

The side door doesn't open and it was propped with a rock. There are people loitering and smoking weed in the parking lot. In fact, I am fairly certain my family and I encountered what looked like a money for sex encounter in the parking lot. The hotel is advertised as "historic frederick" but it's nowhere near the historic downtown. It butts I-70 (lots of highway noise), and is wedged between a uhaul lot and a weis grocery store. I highly recommend against this place, in fact I am surprised it is allowed a business license at all.

I usually don’t bother reviewing but felt the need to let people be aware of our experience. Booked a while ago for this past weekend for Family Event nearby. Had my 4 children and 4 grandchildren staying at the hotel 5 rooms total. We selected the Best Western because it had a pool for the kids upon arrival was told the pool was closed due to maintenance issues. Conveyed our disappointment and was given the runaround by staff no compensation etc. Also the hotel is somewhat rundown and dirty a tad sketchy as well. Have stayed at many Best Westerns in the past and are Rewards Members very disappointed!

I arrived at the hotel shortly after midnight and checked out the following morning, so this review is based on a brief stay. Unfortunately, my first impression was not very positive. The lobby appeared somewhat unkempt, and the night staff came across as a bit unprofessional. My room was also poorly lit, making it feel less inviting. The bathroom was noticeably small and felt cramped. This was my personal experience with the room I was assigned, and other rooms may differ. I hope the hotel considers improvements, as better lighting, a more welcoming lobby, and a more polished front desk presentation would greatly enhance the guest experience.

Good value for today's pricing. This location provided included breakfast in the stay cost but I chose not to participate. Good value and location for the $

It was an ok hotel for what we needed but not sure if a Best Western will be my choice again.

tablets in the side box & it wasn’t working nor was vacuuming it. please get some shock and maintain it better. Breakfast was good except the apple & strawberry kiwi juice was watered down. The hotel is in a great location and felt safe.
