Motel 6 Frederick, MD - Fort Detrick

No fridge, no microwave, broken hdmi cable stuck in the wall and hanging from the tv...moldy shower, half the lights not working, spider webs in all the corners. I dont smoke, but the neighbors outside at 3am smoking right into my ac unit. Had to scan my room key 12 times every time i tried to get into my room.

This is a no-frills affordable motel. The rooms are adequate. You get a bed, a desk and a TV stand. Their Wi-Fi/Internet is sketchy but works most of the time. I didn’t need to use the furniture, but my furniture had some broken handles. The bathroom was clean, but it’s very old and shows some wear and tear. All but one of the staff were quite delightful and helpful. I only ran into one front desk, staff person who was rude, curt, and all around just a big prune. But I can overlook that because the rest of the front desk staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Would I stay here again? Probably not but this was all I could afford and my dog got to stay for free.

I can't write anything good about this property. We checked around eight rooms; all had a weed smell, and the sheets and pillow covers had stains and a terrible odor. I almost threw up there. We booked a room with a refrigerator and microwave, but they were not available. Finally, after a long argument, I found a room at 2 AM that was somehow better, where I could barely sleep and checked out first thing in the morning. The staff was extremely rude, and instead of finding a room for us, they gave us keys to find a less stinky room by ourselves.

I booked 2 non smoking rooms with 2 beds each. When I arrived they said they didn't have any left, only smoking or one bed.

The room was dirty and smelled like smoke. No Wi-Fi access from the room I was in. Just an overall bad experience.

I left behind an item and the front desk was helpful with locating it.

I looked for my iPhone to call someone to help a worker walked right down the sidewalk and asked if she could help so we got in the room easily. Everything else was straight. It was a nice room. We’ve always stayed in the Motel 6. I always liked your little jingle that we keep the light on for you OK just it was a night we stayed after my granddaughter got married and we needed something close and everybody that I’ve ever recommended Motel 62 was very happy with it so again we got a chance to visit one with a great weekend thank you

Rooms smelled strongly of smoke. Bathrooms were dirty and there were roaches and crickets in the shower and on the floor. The lady at the front desk was pleasant and tried to be helpful, but the rooms were in poor shape.

Room was ok for price paid. Only 2 working ice machines

I liked the price, location, and that I could bring the dog. The key will clear itself if you get it anywhere near a magnet

I reserved a non smoked room but they gave us a smoking room which was terrible. We asked for exchange with a non smoked room but they didn’t have any other room

Nothing The room smelled like dirty feet, there was a hole on the bottom of the door for pest and bugs to get in, the area itself was very sketchy, along with most of the people. The pool is completely shut down and was never informed of that upon setting the reservations. Lady at the front desk had no emotion what so ever. She would talk so low I told her I couldn’t hear her but still no care in the world. She had her kid at work (which I understand times are hard and sometimes it’s needed) his hands were fully shoved in his mouth and she would ask him to get her stuff. When I went back for a refund because we refused to stay she wasn’t necessarily brutal but you could tell she wanted to be mean. My family and I will NEVER go back there.
