Wavecrest Lodge

Before booking, I specifically chose this hotel because the room was advertised as having a partial ocean view. While there is technically a small glimpse of the ocean, you have to turn your head to a very specific angle to see it. The actual view from the room is overwhelmingly a parking lot. The photos and description on Expedia gave a very different impression, and I felt they were misleading. Parking was another frustrating issue. On two separate occasions, there were no available parking spaces for hotel guests, forcing me to park in the public beach access lot next door. I also observed people parking in the hotel lot after coming from the beach and leaving without entering the hotel, which made it seem like guest parking was not being monitored. Housekeeping was also disappointing. When I requested clean bed sheets, I was told they would not be changed until after the weekend. For the price guests pay to stay here, I don’t believe that’s acceptable. The mattress was uncomfortable enough that I woke up with back pain, and even the toilet paper provided was extremely poor quality. What disappointed me the most, however, was the lack of customer service. I sent an email to management during my stay to express my concerns. After receiving no response, I sent a second follow-up email. As of today, I have still not received so much as an acknowledgment. Breakfast 2/10

Our family loved this place. I would have given 5 stars, but somehow they missed emptying our trash and bringing towels the first 2 days, called desk on second day and they sent someone up in a little over an hour to take care of us. Breakfast pretty good, waffles, oatmeal, cereal, some type of eggs, and bacon and sausage, or Canadian bacon and regular bacon or sausage everyday Also had bagels and muffins. Pool great for kids and right on the beach with easy access. Definitely recommend.

My family of 4 stayed here for July 4th weekend. I chose this property due to the closeness to the beach and pool. I liked how the beach was steps away, but it was the most terrible beach I’ve been to here in Florida. The water was brown and murky and the vibes were not it. Not to mention the terrible staff who were not help for anything and one elevator being down. It was fairly clean though and I give it that. I will not stay here again.

The refrigerator in the room didn’t work and they would run you out of the pool at exactly 8 o’clock, but other than that it was a nice place to stay.

Great location, beachfront and lots of restaurants in the area. Big and nice room. Good breakfast. Parking was available at the hotel. Weird smell in the room but other than that clean.

We had a great stay at Weecrest in Florida! The hotel was very clean, and the staff made our visit enjoyable. Breakfast was included with our stay, which was a nice bonus. While the food could have been a little more seasoned, there was a good variety and we appreciated having it available each morning. The only downside was a strong raw chicken odor when we first parked, but thankfully that didn't affect the rest of our stay. Overall, we had a wonderful experience and would definitely consider staying here again.

Great room, comfy bed and pillows with easy access to the beach and lovely continental breakfast. My only complaint was it was extremely hot in the room when we first checked in, but I turned the air down and it was very comfortable after a few hours.

Cons: our room wasn't ready 1 hr and 30 mins after check-in time, waited another hour after being told she'd check on it only to realize she forgot about my hsuband despite sitting in front of her (said she thought he was already a guest the way he was hanging out and later said she would've remembered him if our baby was with him), smelled weed in my room from another guest twice, the elevator stopped working as it came to our floor and the emergency call button was out of order, asked for towels and ended up getting them ourselves after waiting for 30 minutes. I don't usually complain as I come from a service industry background and we're pretty laid back as it is, but this experience left a bad taste.

The service was slow. Also, the elevator got stuck for a couple minutes and the emergency call did not work.
