Hampton Inn & Suites Gainesville-Downtown

I paid for a king room with sofa back in April and was provided a double queen with a "there's nothing we can do" attitude

The breakfast was fabulous and hot. Eating area was clean and comfortable. The hotel was surrounded by lots of great restaurants.

Expedia says the parking was free but the stuff mentioned that $25 would be required for the parking.

Smelled a little - musty smell

Everything was good. The staff was friendly and supportive. I would definitely choose this property again.

only prob was that the hot water was too hot, esp the shower- and there was no cold water-even for the sink

Newish hotel. Stains on top quilt on one of the beds. Door lock was very temperamental had to change key card 3 times. Air conditioning unit was very noisy. Power sockets between beds not working.

The hotel appears to need updating. Drains on carpet, dim lighting etc. Location was great.

For the amount of money we spent for two nights for graduation weekend. It is a shame that this hotel is not up kept better. The room I stayed in smelled like feet, no one came to clean. Actually, someone came in the room and made up one of my bed, left the other bed unmade and gave me new towels, thank you for that. Just because you can get away with charging people these prices for this type of hotel does not make it right. Do better Hampton Inn. It’s a disgrace. And I definitely will not be staying here ever again. I rather sleep in my car.
