Holiday Inn Gainesville - University Center by IHG

Rooms were comfortable, very clean and had attentive maid service daily. The breakfasts offered at the on-site bistro café were very good and moderately priced! Having a Paisano's bar and pizzeria restaurant attached to the hotel is a major plus! I highly recommend this hotel!

It was honestly fine. The only issue was the pillows smelled like wet dog. Don’t know if it was a moisture issue in the room. Got home late to sleep and just used the two couch pillows. Room 520

Logan and Anitra was excellent customer service especially at 6 o’clock in the morning there smile their professionalism. It was just amazing. I would recommend to stay there anytime if I ever go back to Gainsville. I’ll definitely be staying at the Holiday Inn thank you Logan. Thank you Anitra for making my stay excellent

We stayed for 4 nights and the trash in the room was emptied once and the bathroom cleaned once. There was a lot of repairs being done on our hall. It wasn't noisy but the hall and elevators had a bad smell. The coffee maker in the room didn't work and there wasn't any in the lobby after 11am. The advertised free breakfast offered a few choices but the syrup for the French toast tasted like cooked sugar water. Waitress did not offer to refill coffee. Although we were there 4 days and we had 4tickets for "free" breakfast we were only able to eat at the bistro once because of early appointments for my daughter at Shands. We asked if we could use one of the unused tickets for our 3rd person guest. We were told no. And unlike a free continental breakfast that many hotels offer, we had to tip our waiters for very poor service. In addition. There was no one around to assist us in unloading/loading our car. Would have been happy to tip for the assistance since we were 2 elderly women and 1 disabled younger adult. The staff was friendly but just didn't offer much help.

Wonderful staff and great location for this hotel. I've been here twice already in the last two months and plan to return on my visits to Gainesville.

Beds were very comfortable, rooms were nice and cold despite the Florida heat, nice walking distance to UF

Location is great for visiting UF campus since it’s right across the street and near many restaraunts. The room was clean with all expected features except no tub (shower only), which was fine for us. Staff was polite and helpful. Parking is free and available til 2pm on check-out day even though check-out is 11am, so we had plenty of time to tour UF without moving the car.

This was a good place to stay. Very central to UF and resturants etc. The place was clean and staff was nice. Price was good as well. This was my second time staying here. My only complaint is the elevator area has an awful smell.

The location is great being right across the street from UF. Also, the pizza place next door to the hotel is amazing. Next chance we’re in Gainesville, we might search around for a newer, more modern place.

The rooms were clean. You could hear the elevator going up and down all times of the day and night which I didn’t care for.

The room was extremely clean and the ac was fixed immediately upon reporting that it wasn't cold enough. The breakfast was very good varied selection. The entire staff was very friendly and helpful very pleasant staff.. I will stay here again next time a perfect 10.

The room and bed were comfortable and quiet. The hotel is connected to Piasno's pizza for a late night dinner and the pizza was excellent!

PERFECT location - close to everything including UF campus & downtown. Room was new & very clean . Staff was friendly and helpful. Definitely recommend !!
