I was generally very happy with my room and the hotel. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is that I found a large spider in the bathroom.

There are hardly any outlets available to plug items into. The rooms are small a musty smelling. The breakfast area is very small and tight with the amount of guest. The hotel could use a little renovation.

It’s a unique, older inn with character. Our room was clean and comfortable. The breakfast is very good. If we return to Galena, we will definitely stay at Stoney Creek Inn.

Was probably the worst complimentary breakfast offering, we have ever encountered. The only thing we enjoyed was the pancakes. The peanut butter was hard as a rock, I tried to mix the oils from it, it was a no go. Just disappointed, ended up at McDonald's the second morning. This was the only let down of our stay.

We had no issues with our stay... however the room is showing its age. Cracks in shower wall tile, wood laminate coming off bathroom door, and dresser shows age. The staff were nice...some have worked at the hotel for awhile.
