La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Galveston West Seawall

We were told our room would be thoroughly cleaned the next day because of the strong smell, but unfortunately, that never happened. We were very disappointed, especially because the hotel itself looks nice. The mold, unpleasant smell, and lack of follow-through really affected our overall experience.

Great stay for the cost. Hotel was clean and amenities were great. However the front desk during check out was not friendly during check out process. I approached the front desk with a smile and enthusiasm with a HELLO and I'm checking in. The man looked at me and no greeting just Driver License please. RUDE!

Reliable with a warm welcome even from Door step

We were assigned to the 4th floor, room 406. Upon entering the room my family and I were wafted by an extreme odor of black mold. Further investigating the room, I found mold growing on the bedsheets and consuming the walls and baseboards. The room was unacceptable and I wouldn’t dare to expose my 2 small children to that. They upgraded our room and it was larger with a king size bed, still some traces of mold, but we took our chance with it anyway due to not being able to receive a refund. Our second night, we experienced water leaking through the bathroom doorway from the room above us. Staff called our room asking if it was us, but we didn’t keep our A/C overworked like the room above us did. Overall, won’t be going back there again. It’s unsafe and the place is falling apart.

Desk light out.

The room smell like mildew. The staff was a very rude person, all he did was complain about the he was the only person working that evening, and everyone need it something. As a guess I really didn’t appreciate he’s complaining.. I have a long day and all need it was to watch a bit of tv. And relax. I guess he forgot the with out the guess there no pay. I won’t go back there anymore or recommend the place.

Breakfast was pretty good. Property was needing a little updating

Rooms were clean and breakfast was great. And we didn’t have to pay for parking!

We also planned to use the guest laundry. When we called the front desk to ask where it was located, we were told it was on the third floor. After walking there with our laundry, we found an “Out of Service” sign on the machines. It would have been helpful if the front desk had known this before sending us upstairs. The staff was polite, but the overall cleanliness and lack of communication about the laundry facilities made our stay much less enjoyable than expected. I hope management addresses these issues so future guests have a better experience.

We where pleased with the stay and price of this hotel.

Everything was so good bedroom to breakfast but we had an issue with charging ports wasn't working. And we couldn't able to charge our phone. Next morning at breakfast area has also charging ports, we got there even over there only one side was working.

I found the building difficult to locate based on GPS location but there was ample parking once found.

This was my first stay at a LaQuinta in a while. The propeywas clean, the room was spacious, and the location was convenient to the Moody Gardens Convention Center.

Very close to SeaWall walking distance to the beach!

The hotel was nice and clean
