Spark by Hilton Galveston

Room was seemed very clean and bathroom too. Woke up the next morning and there was a mouse poo on the sink. There seems to be a hole beside the pipe that comes out of the side wall where pipe comes out. Needs to be filled. Bed was very comfortable and air-conditioning was nice and very cold. Has a fridge and microwave. No coffee machine. Had to go to front desk area to get coffee. I know the hotel is very close to the beach, so sand can be an issue in halls. However, someone smaked their shoes on the wall next to the elevator and left sandy footprints on the metal wall. It was still there the next day at 9 am. Makes you wonder of cleaning of rooms. Back elevator was out of order. Had a lovely balcony, but had nice view of hotel with balconies next door. No view of ocean as picture shows. Wrong side I assume. Remote to TV was acting wacko, so I had to walk to from desk for help, since room phone was not working at all. She said, No one was able to help for 3 hrs. Said the remote was for that TV only. Asked for new batteries, told her that batteries going bad may cause craziness. It worked.

Elevators need repairs. Friendly staff. Parking garage needs cleaning. Room was very clean with plenty of towels. I would stay there again.

Breakfast was lame but the bed was comfortable and the AC was on point

These people are money hungry. I chose post at counter. They tried running my credit card, I keep it locked. So they cancels my 2 time and not even notify me. I go all the way down there to find out my rooms were canceled

Check in and check out was fast and easy. Room was ready upon check in.

The hotel sits in a weird spot but once inside it was fantastic. The staff were super helpful and always nice. Rooms were well stocked and very clean. Breakfast was limited but still good. My teenagers loved how close the beach was and how everything was easy to work with. 10/10 would come again.

The place was nice for the most part. The room was nice. I enjoyed having use of the balcony and the bed was comfortable. My only real complaint was that the shower was marked wrong. I had a cold shower because it wasn’t marked correctly. Hot was cold and cold was hot. Hopefully they can fix this issue so no more guests run into this problem.

There was only one elevator working. Some of the ice machines were NOT working. The hallways were not clean. There was not much hot water in the shower and sink.

The bathroom room had a hunk of door missing. Pros: For the price the location was close to the port we left from. The breakfast buffet was decent.

Great motel over all . Would be better with a full breakfast but we got by with cereal.

Very spacious clean and welcoming rooms. They even welcome you to the hotel with your name on the TV when you walk in

The hotel was fine as a place to sleep when I wasn’t on the beach. But one of the two elevators didn’t work and only one ice machine worked. I stayed 4 nights and no one ever cleaned my room despite the fact the sign in the bathroom said the room would be cleaned every other day. The free breakfast was pretty sparse. I expected better from a Hilton.

You get what you pay for, easy free parking garage & nice balcony with views of the Gulf was the best part for me.

Our shower didnt drain the whole time and backed up nasty sandy water everything we showered that would get up over our feet. Super gross! Also, very stingy with towels. We spent 4 nights and they didnt really want to give us fresh towels. Never once cleaned the room or took trash. We had SO MUCH TRASH. And.... since this is a hotel at the beach, sand gets tracked in.... maybe clean the rooms every other day so people are stuck in filth!

The room was clean and the staff tried their best. Theres alot of traffic through that hotel, and one elevator wasnt working.

I like the location for access to attractions centally located

Cons - Bed was not made and no housekeeping came by. Asked if we could have housekeeping and just received an I don’t know response. One elevator didn’t work. At that property you really do need one to go down to the parking garage. So the elevator was very crowded and long wait times.

Only one elevator was working. The AC on the hallways, reception, and breakfast area were off. The bathroom ceiling was covered with black mold. Worst hotel ever.

The location is super to be as close as to the beach and Gulf. There are stores, gas stations, and restaurants in walking distances. The staff are helpful. Coffee and hot water are available in the lobby. Parking spaces are ample and free. Price is quite economically affordable. The ZERO brand bottles of body lotion, shampoo, and conditioner are all EMPTY. The cleaner should be fired without refilling these cleaning fluids. The bottle of hand soap almost drops down from the wall. The TV remote control's battery was dead, thus I could not turn off the TV when I checked in.
