The Federal Pointe Inn Gettysburg, an Ascend Collection Hotel

Very polite staff in a well-maintained historical building. Excellent pub restaurant on site.

It was GREAT! The pub in the basement was supreme and our waitress and Bob the bartender were fabulous! the food was good too! Our suite was in the front of the building and it was noisy until about 11 pm. The only drawback was there was no breakfast. Although the diner next door filled the bill.

Everyone was warm and welcoming and made us feel like family.

The staff was very helpful and friendly. The location of the hotel is excellent with free parking on-site and a good and reasonably priced diner very close by for breakfast. The room was lovely and the bed was very comfortable. There is no elevator, which makes sense with the building being older and historic. However, staff members gladly carry luggage upstairs.

The hotel has a rich history. It was built in 1896 as school and remained a school for over 100 years. I don’t when the building was converted to a hotel but the own did a great job a keeping the hotel in keeping with Gettysburg’s history. The rooms were spacious and there are limited number of rooms. So the hotel has an intimate feel. Plenty of parking. Who knows. There could even be some spirits roaming the halls at night. I didn’t see or hear any.

Beautiful property, but no elevator don’t know how I missed that. You have to lug your luggage up steps to reception. We were on a floor below that meant lugging luggage down two flights of steps. Room was large and clean but had a musty smell. The room was very noisy due to the room above us having wooden floors it was like having a heard of elephants upstairs. We were on the same floor as the restaurant and bar, which was great for our first night but it was closed Sunday. So we had to go elsewhere to eat after our day site seeing. Staff were very helpful and friendly. Overall disappointed with Inn. If stairs and letting luggage are a problem this is not the place for you.

Federal Pointe was absolutely fantastic! A fine hotel located in the heart of Gettysburg. Just a hop, skip, and a jump from city center, the hotel offers its guests a large and comfortable room, a great bar, and walking distance to downtown.

We had a wonderful stay at Federal Point Inn. When we arrived we were greeted by two very knowledgeable friendly staff and amazing blueberry scones. They were delicious and made all of us feel at home. When the next staff arrived he told us about some of the local restaurants. We hit every one of them and they did not disappoint. When we arrived back each evening, we were greeted by the evening staff. I loved sharing our day’s activities with him. I would definitely recommend this hotel, friendly welcoming staff, very clean rooms. Beautifully decorated! Located within walking distance of Gettysburg historic sites.

Beautiful old school house with a new life as a hotel. Staff, pub, and room all wonderful!

They were friendly and accommodating. The rooms were clean. I would say the rooms should have higher toilets and grab bars for those who need more accessibility.

The location was great. Right at the start of the Gettysburg main street. There was a restaurant that was great for breakfast 100 yards away. The room AC was underpowered a bit. This was an end of summer visit for us and the temps were still in the 80s. But because it cooled at night, in the end the temps did not bother us sleeping.

Simply gorgeous and perfect. The owner has made this historic landmark into a carefully curated museum which was stunning. Will stay here again. The staff and the pub staff were amazing...shout out to Bob the bartender...great host! Nothing
