Wingate by Wyndham Gillette

The hot pool was not working and the water in the pool was very cold.

The hot tub and pool were closed down due to lack of chlorine. We were obviously disappointed but understand this happens. The employee at the counter was rude in her explanation. She gave us a far room and I explained that my husband has difficulty walking and I had requested a room near the lobby. She said (rudely) that there was nothing she could do about it because we had booked third party. She continued to be rude about anything I asked. There was another woman at the counter that seemed to be trying to help us but she kept cutting her off saying they couldn’t help us because we booked third party and we get what we get. My husband had to make the long difficult walk to our room. The manager said the next morning that there was a room next to the lobby and there was no reason that the employee couldn’t have put us there nor any reason for her to treat us differently because we had booked third party. She said she would contact Expedia to give us a refund. I have not heard from her or gotten a refund. In fairness to the hotel…it was nice. No reason not to stay there other than the treatment we received.

The hard copy printed channel guide was not correct. I wanted to watch local channels and could not...for example, I was in Gillette, Wyoming and the CBS channels I received was from New York City or Los Angeles. I was hoping for Denver or Cheyenne or something in the same time zone. Desk attendant came to room but could not help.

The beds were comfortable. The breakfast was cold but good.

No good. Was there for a week. And no cleaning or new towels and the AC didnt work and didnt get fixed even after I told tge front desk and filled out a slip for the maintenance man. So I was really irritated with the stay

Walked into room and it hadn’t been cleaned, McDonald’s on table and bed not made. Then once it finally got cleaned and we got in the shower wouldn’t drain. Told the staff the next morning and said maintenance would look at it and that night it was still not draining any better. Was told pool had to be refilled so might be a little cold and so we waited a night and the pool and hot tub was both ice cold. Staff was pleasant but overall was disappointed in our stay. Had it book for October too and will look to find somewhere else.

Breakfast was good, but you ran out of the breakfast biscuit sandwich.

Completely apart taking my things upstairs ..then when I got off the elevator the 2nd floor smelled really funny the closer I got to my room The more it smelled like something burning ... the room next to mine was an electrical room they had a fan on and the door open ....electrical room Overheating ....

Pretty run down property. The hot tub wasn’t working, there was waffle irons for breakfast but they weren’t serving waffles mix that day, no hair dryer in the room. Don’t forget that Wyndham properties give you half size pillows. I think this stay did Wyndham properties in for me

Room was suitable for a one night stay. There were holes in the carpet and the shower head leaked. Air conditioning unit was very noisy.

Property needs updating. Dark curtains only on the sides of window the rest is sheer so you can’t sleep due to the whole room being lit up by the streetlight all night long.

Great Hotel in all aspects

This hotel needs some work, and the shower is kinda crazy. You can't take a shower without it running all over the bathroom. You can't do laundry because the Owners won't let the workers have access to empty out the coins. My microwave didn't work and nobody could do anything about that.

Great beds, clean rooms, would like better breakfast options

First, we couldn’t get into the room because the batteries were dead. Then the AC wouldn’t work then on our final night of this day they gave our room to someone else and we had four people walking into our room after 10 PM. We called at the front desk, they told us that we didn’t have a reservation and we were gonna need to leave. Was there for a softball tournament did not have the time we expected to have zero out of 10 would not return.

The check in process was quick, the staff was welcoming and knowledgeable. The rooms were discussing, you could tell they had done renovations, 2 different colors of paint on the ceiling. Paint on lamp shades, windows, it was splattered everywhere with no care to clean it up. Also had 2 dead flies on our window. Everyone that also got a room there (in our group) had an issue. Definitely will not be coming back to this hotel.

Clean room. Very good breakfast.

This place had a note card in the room on what needed fixed if any. Loved this idea. Saw a couple of things and told staff..they thanked me for letting them know. Breakfast was great with hot and cold options.

The room was clean enough for an overnight stay and the staff was very nice. What I had concerns with is the safety and security. The side door that you normally m need to use a key card to get into was broken so anyone could just enter the hotel at any time of night. We had stayed here a year ago passing through and I would not stay again if the door is not repaired

Lovely staff. Good location. Clean rooms. Basic rooms. Tv didn’t work.
