Comfort Inn Gilroy

Not a really good place to stay especially with kids. Staff are not very friendly, rooms aren’t clean, smelled like smoke in the room. I surrendered my room at about 12:30am with 4 kids with me. Never again

Kids disappointed that the pool wasn’t open on a hot day other than that everything was good

The sidewalk to the entrance was covered with pigeon droppings. Above the door was something catching more droppings. The hall and room had a strong odor of perfumed cleaner. The room was so stuffy and perfumed that we opened the window only to discover no screen. The beds were very hard. The sheets and pillow cases were 100% polyester. There was a 1/2 inch hole in my sheet, right where my back would touch. I went to turn on the bedside and reading light. They did not work and were very dusty. There was a crusty something on one counter. A drawer I opened had sticky tape residue, so didn’t use it. The little sign on the sink about conserving water by hanging up towels you would reuse, was water speckled, dusty, and some sort of little specks of something. Plus there were no towel racks or hooks if I wanted to reuse my towel. The plastic Kleenex box that was in an open cupboard below the sink, was covered with water spots and dust. Breakfast was provided and the breakfast area was neat and nice. Eggs and sausage were provided along with a variety of other things. The eggs and sausage were in a container to keep them warm, but they were room temperature. The orange juice was bad, took only one sip. They had wonderful prepackaged Danish rolls. The experience was one I would expect at my bachelor brother’s house. Not at a room I paid for. No more Comfort Inns for me.

A horrible stay. Extremely poor customer service, spotty house keeping, run down rooms and facilities. The shower in my room did not drain and the toilet was unbolted from the floor. A family of pigeons lives on the roof outside the front door and craps on everyone and everything - the proprietor never cleans it up. The pool was shutdown during my stay for safety and health reasons by the county - but no matter as the proprietors use the pool furniture to dry their personal laundry while they cook and raise their family in the first floor rooms they have taken over as personal accommodation. I do not recommend.

The friendly check-in and check-out staff, along with the overall pleasant atmosphere of the hotel, made my stay truly enjoyable.

Clean room, and you can’t beat a free breakfast. Very friendly staff. Location is pretty close to everything we needed.

Do not stay here!! There are better places to stay the bed felt like cardboard with springs under it. The shower was terrible, the bath room light was on a timer that would turn off in the middle of the shower because water pressure was so little it took 30 min just to rinse the soap off so then you would be in the dark. NOT SAFE!!!!!! Then they charged us twice at check in then tried to say they didn’t. The list goes on and on
