The unexpected demand for a $50 cash deposit at check-in started us off on the wrong foot. This charge is on top of the fact that we had already reserved and fully paid for the room online. We did get the deposit back at check out. The Oaks Motel is an older property. The room was stuffy when we first arrived. We had to let the A/C and a fan run while we left for about an hour to let the room air out. Check bed sheets for hair. Also, the glass shower door did not look clean.

Ac. Noisy Too close to railroad tracks to sleep at night.

There was a dead animal in the vent by the air-conditioning unit so there were a lot of flies and bad smells. They wouldn’t give us any washcloths. The bathroom set up was horrible. The toilet made a squealing sound. It was just a horrible place.

Thank you for the hospitality! The staff were very helpful and kind. I would recommend this place for an easy night sleep. Also conveniently close to a couple restaurants that are walking distance.

The floor was clean and the beds were clean.

I stay here quite often and I always enjoy my time. It's in walking distance of downtown but still a good distance away to where it's quiet at night. Staff is always polite and accommodating.

Great price

Wee were able to check in earlier than 3pm for $20 cash. The room was small, tv worked, mini fridge/freezer. Bathroom had a child size commode, pedestal sink and a walk in shower. It is on a busy street but not a lot of traffic. Center divide prevents a left turn out of the parking lot. Staff were friendly and helpful, a/c was cold.

Everything especially when I got out the shower and there was no towels. Tried to go to sleep but I kept getting bitten by bed bugs. I couldnt eat because I lost my appetite from looking at the roaches climbing all over the place like they own it .

The staff were rude

The bed linens are not replaced for every guest. The room appears generally clean, yet it is an older hotel with sparse, basic facilities. There is a persistent sewer smell in the bathroom. The neighborhood is a bit unsafe. There was a homeless person acting erratically right outside the entrance.

Oh and if you want to know how long this hasn't been upgraded, they still use a regular house key for the rooms. Would have no problem with that if the rooms were at least half way habitable...
