Richmond Marriott Short Pump

Cons: Lacking room cleanliness. Please clean the air vents in the rooms and pay special attention to dusting. We stayed 3 nights and had to complain for stay over service to be completed. When we arrived at the pool there was a trail of blood along the walkway. Poorly maintained area and warped chairs. Additionally, poorly patrolled as there were guests smoking weed in their room on our club floor and nothing was done. This was not at all the Marriott stay we are used to.

I have stayed here several times in past 2 years. This year it has not been up to expectation. This visit I stood at front desk over 10 minutes waiting for someone to come and check us in. The bathroom had cover on pipes coming off and old wall plates The comforter had stains. Not planning on staying here anymore.

Great property

The restroom in the room we got assigned was so bad... That my kids came out of the room immediately saying shower is very bad and broken walls in the restroom. Apart from that rooms were fine and breakfast was good.

The room was clean. Staff were nice. I wish I could remember the bartenders name because she was excellent.

Beautiful hotel. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. I wish the bathroom sink was not stained, and the bottom of the bathtub did not feel like slim film. Check-in was immediate and flawless. I had a mistaken charge to my room which was corrected within 6 hours of reporting. Great experience.

Great location. Clean room. Front Desk very helpful and professional. Cleaning staff did not provide clean towels on day 2 as requested. Spoke to cleaning staff in the hall the morning we left for the day, and requested clean towels for our room (provided room number also). Returned later that night and room was not visited by cleaning staff. No new towels. Also, the front desk did not have any clean bath towels, but did try to provide a few hand towels. We were informed they were out of clean bath towels. Otherwise, a good stay.

The hotel’s A/C was broken at our check in and we were told it would be back up and running within an hr or two. We had to get ready for my wife’s birthday in a hot room and it caused us to be late to our reservations and threw off our entire evening with our plans. We had to come back from our evening to a humid room and did not get good rest. The A/C was barely working properly the next morning when we had to check out. So overall it wasn’t a pleasant stay. The property did look nice however.

The staff were nice. The room was a different story. Water stains on the roof. I could hardly sleep because the bed was very uncomfortable. The pillows were completely flat even two didn’t help. The restaurant was different than I anticipated, a small bar with a sitting area. Don’t think I will stay here again.

Staff was very attentive and helpful. Clean rooms, food in restaurant was great.

All of the staff was most courteous and helpful. I enjoyed my stay very much. I am Sure I will be staying there again in the future.

It was a very nice hotel, clean bright great space front desk was very helpful. Really enjoyed the property. Recommended if you need a place to stay while you're in the Richmond area.
