Comfort Suites Grand Rapids South

When we brought up the issues and asked for some type of credit for the expensive room and all the inconveniences, no one was willing to do anything. Instead, we were told that if we booked AGAIN, they would give us 10% off. Why would I want to book another stay after this experience? For the amount we paid, I expected basic things in the room to actually work and much better customer service when they didn't. Definitely not worth the price, and I would not recommend staying here.

Check in was easy, the staff were very friendly too. The room we were assigned was clean, and we liked the fact that breakfast was complimentary

This Comfort Inn needs a lot of work. The beds were horrible and the pillows stink.

There was something stuck to the bathroom floor that looked like dried lettuce right in front of the toilet. I scrubbed that off myself. The wall by the bed had several stains that looked like coffee stains. Dripped down the wall. Breakfast was average. Parking was easy. Staff was not knowledgeable about things like where the mall was. It was very disappointing.

Then when they gave me a new room. They gave another customer a key to my room by mistake and someone walked into my room. Dont reccommend staying here. Room was also not so clean. Some of the lamps and plugs didnt work either. And tv kept glitching

Hotel was dirty, room was dirty. Clumps of hair in the sink. Dirty pillows and dirty sheets. They also put us in the wrong room, different from what we reserved.

Clean and comfortable It was a shame the pool was not open

The staff were kind and helpful. The room was modern and clean. The breakfast was good. Our three night stay was very affordable.

The pool has been shut down for a long time I was told but they did not inform us of this when we had called before booking through Expedia . Front desk was always sitting in corner in wheelchair . Tub was not clean , beds were horrible to sleep on and the elevator was making awful noises

It was generally clean and most of the staff was nice and attentive. The free breakfast was a great plus too. The pool was under maintenance when it was advertised as open when I booked my room. We had to end up switching our original room because our key cards didn’t work after having to switch them 3 times and got switched to a room with two smaller beds instead of the 1 king sized bed room I booked. The floor I stayed on reeked of marijuana and my room smelled liked cigarette smoke. The night before my checkout they tried to charge me $50 extra at MIDNIGHT when they knew we would be asleep. Luckily I lock my cards and accounts before bed every night… Lastly when I checked out of my room I was confronted for smoking in my room when I have never touched or will ever smoke a cigarette or piece of marijuana in my life and when I said that, they looked at me like I’m crazy and told me cleaning staff INSISTED it was coming from my room…

it was fine. location for us was fine We did not like the fact that the room lacked drapes to cut the glare of the Comfort Inn sign into our window all night. It completely destroyed any chance of sleep. Our room was also facing the gas station with their lights but no drapes to block it out.

location, free internet, fridge, mic, clean towels, etc., clean bathroom. smart aleck clerk said my room was all the way to the left when it was in the middle of the hall. the room was a little dirty. the phone didn't work. couldn't adjust the volume on the TV. had to hold the handle down on the toilet until all was flushed

The breakfast was the best part and the woman stocking breakfast items was very nice. The woman who checked us in was very surly. Pool was closed for renovations. I booked based on the advertisement for a "suite", expecting a separate sofa bed and extra TV. The room is not what I would call a suite.

Balled up in them. Remotes did not work, room was clean enough but if you looked it was not cleaned good in a long time. Bathroom floor was dirty. Would not visit here again

I was there on a long weekend. There was plumbing issues in room 1 and television issues in room 2. While they transferred us to a new room after the plumbing issue the response was "we do not have maintenance assistance on the weekend". Staffing was the biggest issue. We never got satisfaction on the TV issue.
