Urban Boutique Hotel, BW Signature Collection

Mattress was very "gushy". The room was also very "loud"; you could hear EVERYTHING outside and the HVAC unit was like a freight train when it kicked on. The TV was stuck in "store mode" so you couldn't watch anything without an intrusive banner on it. They seemed to have put some money into some renovations but left a LOT of cosmetic things undone. Having said that the room was clean and everything worked as intended. Additionally, the cost was relatively low.

Hotel sign difficult to see, so till need to rely on your phones GPS. Comfy, very soft mattress. AC system in room needed to be refilled because it took a while to cool the room down. Clean and quiet property. Breakfast was outstanding.

You can tell some work has been done to improve the property, such as new carpet. However, the room smelled strongly of mold, and I woke up with a stuffy head and cough. Also I woke up to find a bug in the bed towards the foot, where the sheets were tucked, and my husband woke up with several bug bites. The woman in the morning was very dismissive when I complained and just kept saying I should have complained at check in. She would not try to understand that we got there at 12:30am, we were exhausted and only turned on the bathroom light. I was not trying to get money back or anything, I just wanted to be heard, and improvements to be made. The breakfast was above average, and she repeatedly refreshed the food, but the communication was not there.

I had a pleasant stay. The room was clean and well maintained, with good AC, reliable WiFi, and a fridge and TV that made the stay more comfortable. Breakfast was included and convenient, and the hot water was consistently warm. Overall, everything I needed was provided and I would consider staying again.

Restaurants close by and shopping

To say it is a "boutique hotel" would be quite the overstatement. A renovated budget Roadway Inn is more like it. The room appeared much larger and nicer in the pictures than in actuality. The room was renovated, sort of - like putting lipstick on a pig. The hotel is located adjacent to a gas station - shares a parking lot. The bed in the room was AWFUL! It had no box spring and was on a wooden frame on the floor! It was the worst mattress I have ever slept or not been able to sleep on in my life! It was saggy, lumpy and the protruding wooden frame ends bruised my shins several times while I was there! The pillows were equally as bad, old, small, flat and in need of replacement. The shower, which had large black ants in it, was so Lilliputian that my husband could not raise his arms or turn around in it and he is not a large man. The bath towels were thin and small - I thought they were hand towels until I saw the hand towels - more of the same. We got one small bar of soap and a small tube of shampoo in our room, but we did get four K-cups for the Hamilton Beach coffee maker.. This was also a pet friendly hotel so dogs were barking at each other in different rooms at 1AM, 3AM and 4AM, no one seemed to care. It was loud throughout the night and the traffic at the gas station just added to the noise levels. The woman who checked us in was very nice - we decided to forego the free breakfast as we were pretty sure it would be more of the same at that hotel.

Plenty of parking just seven minutes away from downtown Greenville. Great air conditioning. Road noise through paper thin walls. Damp and musky. Bottom bed sheet too small to fit the way to soft king bed, came loose many times. The out door corridor had people talking till 11pm just outside our door. When a guest put too much batter on waffle iron the lady attendant walked up to him and said he needs to clean it up. She was also upset when another guest pointed out that all their yogurt was expired. She went and brought out a new box of yogurt and had the guest take one and then returned box to storage- not bothering to replace the expired yogurt on serving line. Sorry this sounds all bad, but it is what it is.

I liked the location from downtown. There is a park on back of the hotel with nice trail and a Disc Golf course. The entrance sign was almost hidden, easy to miss. It had a very strong smell to Pinesol in the lobby and room. Breakfast wasn’t bad. There was a stain on our sheet

The room was very clean, staff was very helpful with andy question you may have. And breakfast was more the muffins and cereals. It also included biscuits and gravy, eggs, and sausage. Very good

The couple who run the hotel are friendly. They and their staff will take great care of you. I recommend the biscuits and gravy.

It was minutes away from downtown. Nice quiet area room were very clean. You can tell the owners were trying to make improvements in the hotel because they care about the space
