Cottages on River Road

Parking great, staff great, lovely property. Breakfast nicer than expected. S’mores was fun. Just be aware that if you book the tiniest room it is tiny. No closet. But still we were quite comfortable.

Absolute wonderful staff. Helpful, friendly, and always had a smile. Breakfast was outstanding, generous, and fresh. The cabins were nicely spaced and everything was well kept. I will stay there again in the future and highly recommend this place.

Beautiful grounds, excellent complementary coffee and breakfast. The place has a very friendly relaxed vibe. And it is fantastic for dogs. I loved the pet area the nightly S’more’s by the fire pit!

This place IS A GEM!!! Very pet friendly, nice staff, grounds are beautiful, complimentary breakfast is really, really good. This place has a great location close to everything. It has a pet “relief” area, cute pool and laundry!!! It is right on River Road but the cars going by didn’t bother me at all. Close parking so helpful. I LOVE the fire pit lit every night with complimentary S’mores makings. Like I said IT IS A GEM. I felt so welcome and “at home”. I am a solo traveler with a big MOOSE of a lab, and it was not a problem at all. Also, very reasonable pet fee. Truly a GREAT find. Everyone working there was super nice.

Our room was very nice. However there were at least a dozen stairs to get to it. Other rooms had less stairs.

A peaceful and beautiful escape! For my first visit to Gurneville, Cottages on River Road added an extra layer of fun and excitement with our own private space, a wonderful fire pit with provided s’mores, and amazing staff! Looking forward to going back!

Stayed here for one night after a wedding in Santa Rosa and it was a perfect stopover on our way home. Room was clean, check in was easy, and it's super close to river beach areas and the best bbq place in the area!

Very nice stay. The evening smores brings everyone together. My only real complaint was uncomfortable chairs in the room and decks.

Family owned, idyllic setting in the redwoods. Lovely place to stay.

Simple but very clean room and everything functioned well. Our cottage was right along river road and we were surprised at how quiet it was. The property is beautifully landscaped; friendly and helpful front desk staff. The breakfast was much better than expected! An extra blanket so we would not have had to use the heater. But the heater functioned well.

Exceptional

The cabin was comfortable and the breakfast exceptional. Staff is helpful. Family and pet friendly but can be a little noisy in the evenings.
