Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott Harrisonburg

Hotel is average. Upon arrival we were greeted nicely and assigned a room on the 3rd floor. When we arrived at our room was right next to a large air handler outside with a fan running in the hallway. I called down to the front desk to see why we were given this room next to the noise when the hotel was not busy, the front desk replied that no one else had complained. Not a great response. She changed our room to the first floor, first door right next to the breakfast area so at 5:30 am there was a lot of activity getting the breakfast ready for guests which promptly woke us up. I could not help but think the front desk receptionist did this on purpose because I asked to be moved to anther room. So I have to give the hotel 3 stars. I was an unsatisfied guest.

Staff and breakfast were excellent.

Unbeknownst to us during the time of booking, this property was under construction upon our arrival The rooms were damp, the construction was a nuisance, and front desk staff did not offer any help. Since I booked this through Expedia, they were not able to provide us with a discounted rate for our stay.

Greetings was great and each each employee was awesome. Food was good and the room service was awesome. I will always stay at the Fairfield. Thanks for your service

Clean room and good breakfast.

The breakfast selection was good and the person running it was excellent. She made sure tables were always clean after someone left and the food items were always restocked. She was one of the most attentive attendants I have witnessed in a while.

100% would stay again. Everyone was very friendly, very clean.

Parking was challenging as horse trailers took up many spots. We had to park at another nearby hotel parking lot which was an inconvenience. We had reserved a King Suite for 3 adults and 1 child. The pull out couch was just a twin sized bed so one of my children had to sleep on the floor. How could this room be suitable for 4 people?! I asked for a cot but was told they couldn’t bc it was against code. The front desk supplied extra sheets for the floor but didn’t have pillows. The room description should share that the pull out couch is a single vs full.

First room had an overwhelming bleach smell. Moved to another room with poor AC. Staff tried to fix but we didn't sleep well. Probably won't stay there again.

Good friendly staff. Great breakfast. The room 222 was not so good.. the window curtains are not sufficient to keep out the bright lights from the hotel entrance. The heavier drapes do not come across. Unrest all night. The elevators are noisy in the room also.

Room was nice and spacious. Breakfast and parking were great. Looked in a great area where there is so many places to shop. Pool was nice but it was freezing in the pool area and pool water was warm. Temperature should have been comfortable to swim as when you got out you were freezing.

The entrance was not impressive as the construction renovation was going on. Staff was OK not too impolite and not too helpful, Breakfast was pretty good.We were given complimentary access to our Neighbourhood full service gym.

Breakfast was great Ice machine was clear at other end of the hall.

Friendly, professional staff, but malfunctioning computers for check-in, inside construction without notification during registration process, and mediocre breakfast, all made my experience less than ideal.

We had a very nice stay. Very clean and the room was perfect.

Reception staff excellent. Very helpful, friendly, welcoming. Breakfast staff also friendly, attentive. Property is currently undergoing face lift in lobby.

The hotel is under construction in the lobby. Not a big deal; it would have been nice to know before booking. I like to use the lobby for working when traveling with my family. The room was beat up and worn. Only two full-size towels. Breakfast was very busy; not the staff's fault, but they were out of coffee and had limited hot food items left for guests.
