Microtel Inn & Suites by Wyndham Harrisonburg

We initially booked a 2 Queen Bed, Accessible, Non-smoking ... when we arrived, they told us that we book a Queen Room and they put us in a 2 Queen Bed room ... the accessibility was a bar on the wall with no other assistance, making it difficult to get onto and off of the toilet ... no chair in the shower/tub making it impossible to shower ... However, the stay was lovely, clean, and breakfast was nice. The staff was very pleasant.

The pillows were way too large. The toilets need to be raised. It is hard to get up from such low seats. The sink is also very low. You have to bend way over to even brush your teeth. The carpet needs replacing. With some upgrades, the motel would be a nicer place to stay in.

1st of all they gave us a handicapped room and it wasn't a very nice one. They told me they gave that to me because I booked thru hotels.com. in the bathroom there was a drain in the floor near the bathtub. The tiles around is were not flush and cracked so we had to cover it with towel so we wouldn't cut our feet. When we were in bed getting ready to sleep someone was trying to get into our room. I went to the door and there was a family of 4 with a key to our room. Then the clerk who gave us this room came up and wanted to know why we were in there and we told him cause you gave us this room. I would not recommend this micro tel to anyone.

Road noise

I was traveling on a strict budget and price was the main factor for choosing this hotel. There were no extras such as a gym-the outdoor pool was in need of a facelift. They did provide breakfast, which was very minimal. However, the lady at the front desk always had a smile, remembered my name and was very pleasant at every interaction. The room itself was dated, but the bed was comfortable and the shower was very powerful. overall, my stay was positive for the cost of the room. I can’t complain as it was Clean and I did get what I paid for. Again the lady at the front desk made all the difference in whether I would come back or not and yes if I was traveling by myself, I would stay there again. If I was traveling with my family, I would choose a different hotel.

Wasn't sure if outside pool was working. It looked a little green.

Great time, great staff

Very friendly staff, good beds, room was clean. Breakfast was fine. Only complaint was no outlets or charging stations by the nightstand, the only place to charge was across the room. Good for a quick overnight.

EV charger was appreciated and a nice added bonus.

The breakfast sucked had to next door to Perkins. They have low income people living there running the place down. Needs upkeep.

Everything was spotless

The room was clean and comfortable enough. No complaints there. The breakfast was below average by mid-price-hotel standards, and they didn't provide shampoo and conditioner, which was odd. Nothing necessarily wrong with this hotel, just not a lot of positives to it.

The employees were extremely friendly and helpful. The free breakfast was great. There wasn't anything negative to say

Have always had good stays at Microtels and very reasonable price, especially w/ pet. Breakfast just wasn’t good and usually is, n I dont mean selection, just what they cooked tasted, was prepared poorly. Had a double queen room but luckily only needed 1 bed, as second bed had a horrid sunken hole in it and would not of worked if had to use that bed as was VERY bad! Not hotels fault, but room above got vety loud st midnight, waking my dig n making her bark at all their noise:-/ (she hates being woken! Lol)

Wall in this hotel are paper thin. You cuold hear absolutely everything the people in the nearby rooms were doing.

Nothing The smell of smoke through the building. The stained sheets. The lose and broken tiles in the bathroom. The missing mirror in the bathroom. The stains on the walls. The noise from the highway.

Comfortable beds and right off highway. Tiny bathroom.
