Doubletree by Hilton Hattiesburg, MS

Our Room was clean, but the wing we were in was being painted/renovated, so it was not quite up to par. Dirty linens were left in the hallway in from of 2 rooms in the hall. One reason we selected this motel was it was advertised as pet friendly, but they had a big No Pets sign on the entrance door from the back parking lot.

We booked 2 rooms over a month in advance and neither were ready upon check-in after a 15 hour drive. The front desk clerk said we can clean the rooms and make the beds ourselves for a discount, umm... no. Had to wait almost an hour for him to care for the room while I and 3 separate groups of guests had to wait. Horrible. Breakfast is overpriced for what's offered and no it's not continental even though it's the same quality of food. NOT RECOMMENDED.

Staff was friendly and made check in smoothly. Room was clean.

Front desk staff was not professional, the hotel is in construction and the room was not clean including cob webs. Expected a lot better for being a 4 star hotel but was highly disappointed.

The rooms were nice and comfortable

Electric charger did not work, Site showed 4, there were only 2 and 1 did not work. Bed was hard and not comfortable. Staff was rude and not helpful.

Everything was great, kinda staff

Never could find someone at the front desk. Had to wait constantly. Room smelled musty. Shower was not clean. My husband has a prosthetic and we could not get a room with a tub. Staff seemed to not care. Spoke with Expedia agent. Cancelled the second night and was told by Expedia I would get a refund. Not true. Will not stay at this hotel again nor will I book from Expedia.

Almost all of the staff I encountered were unfriendly and not helpful. No information was given at check-in as to the hotel amenities or how to access wifi. The hotel had coned off the handdicapped parking spots leaving those with a handicap unable to find a close spot. This was done presumably for access for the heavy equipment to do work on that side of the building. So why were we given a room on that side of the building that was going to be worked on. The construction/maintenance started early in the morning causing lost sleep due to the noise. The suite was set where you couldn't see the TV if you were sitting on the couch. I do notrecommend this hotel nor would I ever stay there again.

The staff was amazing. However, the room I reserved through orbitz, was a studio queen suite and the room they put me in I do not have enough space to tell you all the things about how wrong they were for even calling it a suite! If I can find a way to get a refund, I certainly will. I would have had a better bathroom if I would have chose, a regular room. There was no vanity in the bathroom. Nowhere absolutely nowhere to put my toothbrush, my toothpaste, or any of my toiletries for that matter. Unable to use my curling iron because there was no countertop to set it on. I could go on and on. They put a big giant chair in a corner that took up space, and if you sat in it, you were looking at the wall. And what was supposed to be a kitchen with a table was a very small countertop, with a microwave and a coffee maker, it did, however, have a sink that's about it.The table was non existent.

The door to my room when opened dropped down and hit the floor. I had to muscle it up just to shut it. I kinda felt trapped once inside because I am not physically able to keep lifting the door. I stayed for 4 hours then left. They did not have any more rooms.

The carpets were dirty. Not every channel worked on the tv. The staff were helpful.

Pool was closed for cleaning the entire time. There was only one working elevator for the entire hotel that was mostly taken up by house keeping. Breakfast was not complimentary, it was $14 per person without any signage or being made aware until after plates were made. Check in was supposed to stop be 3 but room was not ready until 3:45, and check out is at 9 am (no mention of this on check-in). So why was the room not ready at 3??? Staff was not friendly or helpful at all.

Both elevators were broken, smelled like weed in the hallways, renovation going on so no baseboards in the hallway. Although room was nice and clean.
