Clean room.

Very clean hotel. We felt safe while staying there. The hotel staff were friendly, kind and accommodating. It was much appreciated.

Great room and breakfast!

Clean room, helpful staff. Only stayed one night, but was happy with the hotel overall.

Had easy check-in with clean pool and a good breakfast.

I didn't try the breakfast and the location was convenient There was several areas where it could have been cleaner

Very friendly staff and clean room

Unfortunately, the check-in experience was frustrating. When we arrived at 4 PM, there was a sign taped to the front desk stating that pets over 35 pounds were not allowed. However, the employee told us pets up to 50 pounds were permitted, which directly contradicted the sign. To make matters more confusing, the front door only states that pets are welcome upon request, with no mention of a weight limit. I booked and prepaid through Hotels.com, and the listing I used did not mention any weight restriction. The employee even stated that they did not have a Hotels.com profile, which was surprising because I was able to show that the hotel actually has two Hotels.com listings and that I had booked through one of them. After a discussion with the GM, our dog was approved “this one time,” but after a long day of travel it was stressful feeling like we might not have a room because of a policy that was not clearly communicated during booking. Overall, the hotel was fine and the room met expectations, but management should make the pet policy consistent and clearly visible across all booking platforms.

This is the second time we have stayed at TownePlace in Hays, Kansas. It does not disappoint! Very clean and very comfortable!

To make matters worse, the hotel was 100% booked that night. They almost certainly resold our room to someone else—meaning they pocketed our money and took payment from a second guest for the exact same room. I understand hotels have cancellation policies, but exceptional and dangerous circumstances (like a closed highway) warrant basic human decency and flexibility. Taking a double payment while hiding behind "policy" is greedy and exploitative.

Clean and cozy

Rude staff at the check in desk. Condescending and disrespectful. I knew as soon as I saw the large cross hanging from her neck I had no chance to get a room. Their advertisement on Expedia said pet friendly but it’s not . No cats allowed at all and no more than 2 dogs which was not what Expedia had listed. Glad we dodged that and decided to get as far away from Kansas as possible.

The only feedback we had from our last stay was that the shower could have been cleaner. It appeared it had not been cleaned and rinsed well. The refrigerator had not been emptied (bottles of water were left) from the previous guests. Neither of these issues would keep us from staying again.

Clean room and great amenities!

Everything was great…cleanliness was super! If I had to give some constructive feedback, it would be that the beds were not super comfy. There seemed to be a little breakdown in the middle. But…after traveling for hours and a nice hot shower, it was comfy enough! Will definitely stay again!

Breakfast was good but there was no meat (protein) of any kind
