Holiday Inn Express & Suites Hayward - Castro Valley by IHG

Wonderful hotel. Very new and well appointed. As well as well staffed. The staffing can be inconsistent on working with reservation but everything else is great.

The room was very clean and the staff was friendly.But paying for parking is not very convenient.

There's a $7/day obligatory parking fee that is not mentioned in the online booking. As aveeage as it gets

Lacks a shower mat for bottom of tub to prevent people from slipping. When I asked for one, I was given a hand towel.

Room was clean and breakfast was great. There was no coffee maker and micowave in the room, even though the booking website indicated that such amenities were.

If you are planning a trip to the Bay Area, I highly recommend booking your stay with them. It’s in a great location, easy freeway access, grocery stores & fast food restaurants are nearby. It’s a newer building, well maintained. The parking is secure, well monitored at night. We stayed for 6 nights and all of the staff were wonderful.

I will definitely will return to this Hotel Again and others around the world.

All is well

1) I got put in the last room in first floor next to exist door, it was so loud and noise whenever people enter and leave through the door. Cannot even sleep well. 2) there are so many large truck parked in the property every night, parking is not that easy and difficult to park and backing up 3) the carpet had sharp nail hurt my feet few times, use towels to place on the floor. The property are very new and well maintain, and it was best deal could find around the areas.

Room and hotel were clean and staff were nice. The breakfast was outstanding, quality of the food and choices were awesome. The staff who managed the breakfast were extremely nice and accommodating, and kept the breakfast well stocked with fresh food and beverages. The only downside is a slight homelessness issue nearby. Staff had to manage the entrance closely during breakfast to ensure the homeless didn't come in for a freebie breakfast. That being said, we felt safe during our stay. There were plenty of places nearby to eat lunch and dinner. Very close to CSU East Bay..... we would certainly stay there again.

Staff was super helpful, was able to store our luggage until we could check in (which we were able to do an hour early). The room was great, breakfast was yummy, the only disappointment was the pool was set to 75 degrees due to a mechanical issue and it was too cold to enjoy.

Everything was good until I found a pair of men’s underwear underneath the couch

I recommend this hotel, it is very clean, the rooms are large and spacious, and the breakfast is delicious.

The only downside is we requested room service and when we came back in the evening the room was not cleaned

The rooms are not sound proof, I can here people walking and running above me. They left a previous customer dirty underwear in the bathroom. There are homeless people around the hotel that walked in and help themselves to coffee and there is no security personnel to watch the premises. I didn't feel safe so I won't be going back there. I love holiday Inn ihg but after this one, I'm thinking twice about it.

Their check in receptionists friendly and helpful.

My stay was peaceful. My room was clean and comfortable, the staff was welcoming, and their was ample parking.
