Rockhouse Suites

The location of the rock House suites is perfect. You can walk to anything in Hillsboro and as a bonus your next-door to VLM Winery, which is excellent wines. Bobby will take care of you there. He was great. As far as the room we had the garden suite. I had everything you needed. It was clean. A couple things you might wanna look out for… There is a skylight right over the bed so all day long the sun beats through the skylight and first thing in the morning when the sun comes up there it is again. There are two hooks in the bathroom. I travel with my toiletries in one of these hang up bags so automatically the hooks are taken by those bags. All they have to do is put two more hooks up somewhere so you can hang up your bath towel instead of hanging it on the back of a chair and junking up the room. A box of Kleenex would’ve been greatly appreciated. We picked the suite because of the outdoor area, which really needs a good cleaning. There’s a little table and chairs tucked into the corner, but you were fighting with overgrown bushes just to sit in the chair we had to put our robes over the top of the bushes so they wouldn’t stick us. There is a phone number after 9 am to call if you needed anything, but we never got through to anybody so we we’re pretty much on our own the whole time. There are some tiny ice cube trays in the freezer part of the mini fridge that were very very broken, but outside of that there’s no access to ice. The housekeeping crew were very nice.

It was very nice and had everything we needed A little more direction on how to find the suites. Like it is between the bike shop and winery kinda like an alley. Park in the winery park lot and head for the bike shop it is on the left between the buildings. Also loose the poster bed the metal post get in the way to move around the bed and also if you want to watch tv or enjoy the flames of the fireplace. Not a big deal but would be nicer. I have a VRBO and always like anything that will make it even better brought to my attention. So hopefully this helps.

Strange couch,

The location to downtown Healdsburg was superb! The suite itself was spacious and had everything needed for a wonderful weekend. 1 major negative, which significantly affected our overall score, was a major concern for us. Upon checking in (which was quick & easy), we noticed 3-4 ants crawling on the nightstand. Did not think too much about it....It happens, and we get it. Upon returning to the suite that evening, we located even more ants on the nightstands, bed, and 1 of our suitcases. We played exterminators and got rid of the ants. The following morning was an absolute nightmare. We found at least 50-60 ants underneath our suitcases and nightstands, and crawling throughout the bedroom. Luckily, we were checking out that morning and just tried to remove the ants we could from our suitcases. Mind you, we had no food or drinks that could attract them. We would strongly consider staying here again, minus the ants roaming around.

It was central and within walking distance of the town square and all restaurants and shops. Easy parking. The rooms and bathrooms are good but there is no table to either do some work at or sit and do make up or other bits. This has to all be done in the bathroom with no separate toilet area. There is internet but it was easier to hotspot off my mobile than use the intermittent WiFi. I did call and was told there is no known issue but it continued for 5 days. We visited the offsite guest house for the complimentary but they were not aware we had checked in and weren’t given breakfast options but had to take a prepared meal option. All round the location is great but there are areas that could be improved at this price point.

This place is a hidden gem! It was a very cold day (for California) but they had the heater on and felt right at home from the very beginning. Beautiful, cozy, awesome bathroom…everything was perfect! A very short walk from downtown. They have their own parking spots which was great! We were sad to leave and would love to go back one day. Nothing

Vinyl flooring was coming up in several areas. Felt like it flooded. They tried to screw the buckling boards down. No blackout curtains anywhere, the window treatments were not adequate. The couch was not a couch but an awkward bench. Not comfortable or usable really.

Nice little cottage. Very clean and comfortable and plenty of space for two people. Parking is right outside in the main shopping center parking. Breakfast is at one of the company's inns all within a short walk of this cottage. Free wine tasting for 2 at their various wine properties was a real bonus. Would definitely stay again.

Great patio and room. Very clean. Wish there was a floor length mirror in the room. Easy to walk around downtown and having parking right there was nice!

the wood flooring us coming up and I tripped going into the bathroom. It really needs to be fixed!

The front glass door of the unit cannot be shut all the way and the lock doesn't lock it either. There is a front gate at the patio that requires a key to get in but it was weird not being able to lock the front door at night or when you're away. Easy fix is they change the lock or hardware

Amazing location. Great accommodations, clean and the hosts were very friendly. The outdoor space was a big plus. I would definitely stay again.

Unexpected nice suite two blocks from downtown Healdsburg. Nice amenities, could have a little more interior lighting. Also steps from a tasting room associated with Rockhouse with free tasting. A nice home base for exploring the area.

Might need a little touch up in places.
