Staybridge Suites Hillsboro - Orenco Station by IHG

Did not like the room by the highway but the rooms were great

First, we were told we could get an early check-in at 1pm but we weren't able to actually check-in until 30 mins before regular check-in. The room was clean, but the common areas (ex: elevator and staircase) smelled dirty and had food crumbs, dirt, and dog poop that wasn't cleaned up for the 6 days we stayed. The room's electricity went out frequently and the manager told us this happens regularly at the property. Our room microwave didn't work and we had to wait 3 days for maintenance to fix the issue. Management gave us a counter top microwave after we had a conversation. Overall, the experience was a letdown for a Staybridge hotel.

Very clean and good amenities

It was great. Housekeeping needs to learn English. We had ants in our room (not a big deal), but housekeeping wouldn’t do anything because she told us she didn’t speak English. Pool was really tiny and not warm. Other than that, it was great.

Room was exedingly comfortable and quiet. I was able to get after hours work done and sleep comfortably.

This hotel was by far one of the best! Definitely recommend as it had nice rooms, great breakfast and wonderful customer service

The pool was very, very cold it was disappointing as it was to cold to be enjoyable.

Nice, clean property. Very friendly staff. The rooms were very comfortable and spacious. Would definitely stay again.

Our main concern was that the air conditioner in our room sounded like a jet taking off. When the A/C would click on, it would hum (normal - no issues with that), then after a few seconds the room would abound with a thunderous noise for a few minutes. Once the room cooled, it would go quiet. Seems like this occurred a few times during the night.

I liked that each room had a kitchen in it. Rooms were decent size. Pool wasn't available first night we stayed. Had to deal with sugar ants through out the whole room. They only have 1 elevator, so if you are on top floor, you are waiting a long time for the elevator.

I've said it before but fantastic hotel!

And then they also have the social on Monday through Wednesday where they feed you and give you free booze. And well who doesn't enjoy that.

Always stellar here! Always comfortable! Excellent staff and the kindest and most gracious owner/management. KUDOS all around! Always feel right at home when I stay here!!!

Great hotel! The room and hotel was very clean. The service was helpful and even the breakfast was good. We also went to their social on Monday and Tuesday and enjoyed the little food they had and the especially the free booze! It's not a cheap place to stay but it is very nice.

Loved the room, very clean and great amenities! Only down side was it was VERY noisy. Traveled for work so had early nights. I noticed very thin walls... I could hear the neighbors talking clearly even though they weren't necessarily loud, and kids were screaming down the halls at 1-2am, which kept me from sleeping really well.
