Beautiful view!

Food at the restaurant was very good! Room was in need of a redo(bathroom). One of The elevators was down for the first 2 days of are stay, but we still enjoyed are stay.
-
We were only there for a single night for a total of about 10 hours, so we didn't really use the amenities. Although it would have been fun to play a round of golf if we had time.

As I booked via Expedia, the room had no outside view which was usual assignment when I use Expedia. The cleaness was OK, however, machine sound was so noisy and my wife could not sleep well. The air-conditioner was poor and it took two whole days to cool down the room. The noise of airconditioner was like a working machine, so on second night, I turned off it, however, outside machine sound was too loud to sleep.

This was the best in the area with a great location. The view is amazing with snorkeling and a pool side by side. The hotel is making improvements. The room was clean and beds made each day. The food was great. We got many free drinks. Our concerns were attention to details. A toilet paper holder that wouldn’t stay latched. Fixes to doors and latches that were not neat but just to get by. The self parking lot across the street was in horrendous shape with muddy potholes. It was a good thing we had a jeep. Upon check in we were given a room that was occupied. This was quickly remedied and we were given drink tickets. It seemed that there were also problems with the elevators. At times it took upwards of 10 minutes for one of three to arrive. The nightly entertainment by the lobby bar was a nice add. Despite some short comings that can easily be fixed we would stay here again if we come back to Hilo.

Our room was dirty- we found a large hairball in the bathroom which made me think our room was not cleaned properly. On the 2nd day, for some reason the housekeeping neglected to clean our room even though we had requested daily cleaning. We called twice to request someone to come clean the room that afternoon but after our 2nd call it was already 4pm and they said housekeeping had left for the day. They just sent someone to take out the trash and give us clean towels. The views are nice but the service is sub par. I would not stay here again.

Balcony room with full resort view was the best. Very clean and good breakfast. Really good pizza and pork belly. Burgers were not so good. Drinks are just ok as well.
-
The room was very comfortable and spacious and the staff was very helpful. My only complaint is that the elevator didn't seem to properly work our whole trip, sometimes having to wait over 15mins just to get up to our room.

The hotel is an older vibe but well maintained. Only cons - elevators were very unresponsive and staff had to assist a couple times; have to pay for parking AND when you say the resort fee covers 2 drinks a day (sounds great but only certain drinks) and the other things included in resort fee were not items my family needed. So felt like extra money to pay for little extra value. STILL with these cons - would definitely stay there again.
-
The rooms were a bit dated and exterior needs some work. Bathroom doesn't have a lock so the kids felt uncomfortable.
-
Biggest drawback is the elevators which was ridiculous. It was not uncommon to wait 15 minutes for an elevator (at the lobby) when there were three operating . I don’t know what was going on, but they did not operate correctly at all.

Adequate for one night, but wouldn’t recommend for multiple nights. Proximity to the port, airport, and golf course make it feel way too industrial for a Hawaiian vacation. + Photos make it look nicer than it is. Spa prices are double what even a luxury hotel charge. Great views, request a high floor. Definitely worth upgrading to a room with a deck.

Comfortable and great hotel to stay.

Great place to stay! Drink tickets nightly. Free coffee and juice with a great staff in a good location to the city area.
-
This hotel was nice for the area. Lil very small and we did not use amenities.

Melissa at the front desk was very efficient, knowledgeable and showed the Aloha Spirit. Mahalo

Check in staff was not helpful. Didn't tell about where to park or where to find the elevator etc. We had to get help from someone staying there to find the elevator. Didn't tell that we had to get tag card to do parking... Rooms are not clean enough for the standard we expect.

The bottom of the pool could use some cleaning. Because the property has ocean access, many guests were tracking the typical hilo sand (small pebbles) into the pool. Couple of the kids got scratches on the bottom of their feet.
