The SCP Hilo is a cute motel with a nice lobby and pool area. The staff are amazing-helpful and kind. The fitness area just has two Peloton bikes which is not great for those of us who don’t like biking, but I knew this before making a reservation. The bikes and paddle boards available for guests is a nice touch. The room itself is quite basic and a little small for more than two people, but it was comfortable.

Really enjoyed my stay. Lovely property with lots of amenities including laundry, swimming pool, koi pond, gym, water refill station, courtyard, and 24/7 community/coworking room. Location with easy parking and convenient to restaurants and things to do. Also close to the airport, but it’s not super busy so the noise wasn’t really disruptive. Room was clean and comfortable. Only issue was the bath tub — I realized too late that the cold water faucet in the tub was completely busted, but the front desk helped make up for it when I checked out. I’d definitely stay again.

The property is old and outdated the air conditioning unit that was very small. We were sweating wasn’t enough for the room to call. Also, if you sit on the toilet seat, the tissue holder was fixed in such a way you cannot get up straight from the seat. It’s on the way. You need to dodge just sit on the seat as well as I get up when mention to the receptionist and said that’s so inconvenient she said I’m sorry. Nothing was done not offered another room in the similar price we paid. Not happy we just book based on the pictures or reviews. This is what I felt.

The only thing I didn’t like was, the ar conditioning works well, but the noise is so high and I have trouble to keep sleeping all night long. But they can fix it, in my opinion have to change the machine. I should back soon and I will stay there again.

Coffee could be stronger. But also free. Eco conscious. Washer and dryer on site. What’s not to like. Staff was lovely.

Really relaxed vibe, water station and coffee and tea available in lobby. Chill space to relax and nice pool with deep end to exercise.

The lobby and common area is chic , you can enjoy your own quiet time. Location is good, within an hour driving to both national volcano park and Mauna Kea.

Great location for the price. We stayed 3 days in Hilo and enjoyed the convenience of this hotel and the staff is wonderful. Paddle boarded the bay across the street. Drive downtown to farmers market. Great place to explore Hilo

This quaint property is nestled in a space that is open. Staff are amazing there is security present. I only wish the pool would stay open later. Thank you for a wonderful vacation.
