Holiday Inn Express and Suites Hollister by IHG

The interesting part about the whole thing is that the same exact thing happened to my cousin the night before, except for the part where I stayed, he went across the street.

The hotels location was amazing. The hotel was very clean. The room was ready before the check in time a total plus. The room was also nice and cool amazing. The only thing I will say is I don’t like how the hotel staff stared starring at me and my guest as we checked in. They kept starring as we would walk in and out the hotel and would smirk at us all awkward.

Booked a stay, landed, only to find out they overbooked and we had no room.

Front desk staff was super rude. No one seemed to talk to each other or communicate and definitely not very professional. Keys kept not working. Called for early check in was told we could and got there and told no absolutely not. We were part of a wedding block of rooms and they knew we were coming. They need to tell weddings they won’t allow early check in at all even if rooms are ready. Got our room 30 min before we needed to leave because we were told if we checked in after the wedding we wouldn’t have a room since it was past midnight when we would return. Bathroom smelled like sewage. Absolutely disgusting! Water smelled awful as well. Didn’t even want to shower in it. Will never be back.

Just wanted to say that we did have a problem with our reservation. But your registration gal. She handled the situation so professionally and answered all of our questions. She was patient as we made calls and she even talked with Expedia on our behalf. She really made us feel comfortable and took care of the mix-up! Your hotel is lucky to have such a nice, courteous, professional employee working for you. I will most definitely stay with your hotel when I travel to Hollister. We go a few times a year and we usually stay across the street... but not no more. I give your hotel a five-star rating, and I give her a 100+ star rating...she was excellent!!!!

The breakfast was the standard fare, but the attendant was beyond excellent answering all of my questions and bringing out the boxes that the items arrived in so I could check ingredients. I have food issues. She was beyond helpful and demonstrated constant courtesy. The front desk staff also was exceptional in courtesy and efficiency. The room was clean and generally the facility was in good shape. There was some problem with the plumbing in the bathroom sink during my stay. 90% of the time it was fine, but when I got out of my shower there was water flooding the sink area on the right side. I mopped it up and never did figure out what was the problem. It only happened when I took a shower.

Only stayed 2 nights but the hotel was clean and the breakfast was good!

Clean room

They didn’t have shower gel and took over an hour to bring it. We called the front desk to request toilet paper, they made us come get it ourselves and treated us like we were trying to take toilet paper home. There should be plenty of toiletries and staff should bring them to the rooms. There should always be more than one person behind the front desk to be sure this could happen. People pay decent money for the rooms the basics should be covered and hassle free at all times.

Check-in was extremely annoying. Asked why I was there? I said work, oh what kind of work do you do? I said " sales." What do you sell?... i just said c'mon man enough! Then he had me initial 12 times and sign, and print. There is tech do avoid this. Buy it
