Great place enjoy the tubs, hospitality , the water everything you may want to do it a walk away .

It is a historic hotel so there are some things that don't feel as nice as they should be for the price.

Restraint was only open on the weekends. Rooms were neat, I enjoy old buildings, but I felt that the hotel could be better restored and protected. Our room was damp and smelled, there appeared to be black mold in the shower, and the carpets looked bad. The lobby is very nice, but deceptive of the rest of the hotel. It’s really neat, but I wish it was better taken care of.

Clean room and very friendly staff

It was amazing

By being an older hotel, there were things that couldn't be helped regarding appearance, but the staff was superb which made the experience and stay an excellent one!!

There was a fire at 6am just 10 feet away from my room. Had to evacuate. It was in an old electric panel. Barely got compensated one night resort fee (15.00) I think there should have been more for the severity of the situation

Great place great location to downtown shops

Room was an okay size, the bathroom was small, the size of a closet, and smelled like mildew. The shower BARELY accommodated me (5’5”) and my husband (6’) had to do full squats to wash his hair.

This is a lovely hotel and is showing it's age. It is under renovation right now and I'm excited to return to see how the updated hotel will look.

Great experience. Should go without saying that this is a very old hotel and it shows its character. If you are looking for a perfect made last week property, this is not it. However, if old school charm is what you seek, this is it. We loved the place!

The only available rooms for 4 contained double beds and I was thinking closer to full. It was a twin and a half. Doors stuck and the in room coffee maker made too much coffee for the cups forcing one to buy from the downstairs coffee shop. They are renovating, so it may be better later. Our view was amazing if you didn’t look down, just straight. Staff was amazing. We did call to check the $30 resort fee and was told only about the $50 incidental. When I inquired specifically about the $30 I was told it was taken from incidentals and it was not. I do think that particular person was training, though from some things that were said once we arrived. Rooms were quiet, bar expensive but good drinks. Basically, we had our experience at the Arlington-but would not choose it again.

Our 1st room was next to a room under construction so the staff changed our room with no hesitation. Our 2d room was perfect. If you are looking for a modern room its not. Its a renovated beautiful hotel with lots of history! Perfect location! Excellent staff, clean rooms, great accommodations!

Hotel building is too old and lack of maintenance

The hotel itself is beautiful. On the first floor, where everything is, it has been renovated and completely gorgeous. The rooms are not updated. It smells like mildew when you walk in the hallways. The rooms are old. It takes forever to get hot water. In our bathroom particular, we had to run the hot water in the shower and let that get hot before you could have hot water in the sink. I had to wait about 10 minutes for hot water just so I could wash my face. Looking at the hotel and all the beautiful pictures online I expected more and was disappointed when we got to our room. I wish they had updated the rooms like they have the bottom floor of the hotel. Also, there are a lot of fees for stuff like $15 for Wi-Fi and $30 for parking. I don’t think we’ll be staying there again.

I loved the bath house, the pool, the lobby bar, and mainly the restaurant. Very good place to stay. Gerry

You can tell this was a nice hotel at some point in time. Now? It’s a run down dump. Don’t be fooled by the outside and the lobby. When you get up to the floors where the rooms are it’s atrocious. When you get in your room? Blind fold yourself before you enter the restroom. Disgusting.

By far the worst property I have booked. Our room was terrible. Mold growing around the air vent and around a part of the wall that looked to have been cut out to make a repair. Holes in the wall. Filthy carpet. The blanket had stains on top. The headboard had a head print on it. When I tried to talk to the front desk, they offered no help and said the manager would be in tomorrow. This was a nightmare.

Bar and restaurant very nice. The bathroom was very bad in dire need of updating.

Pros - Great history on the hotel! Love the “charm” in that. The antique and vintage furniture were gorgeous all over the place. Excellent location. Super walkable to it all. Staff was very friendly. Valet was super helpful and great! Lots of things right inside the hotel like a bar, coffee, shops downstairs and the infused water. Breakfast was a good assortment for the price. Cons - that “charm” I was talking about. Extension cord and a power strip just laying out in the room. The bathroom was awful! I didn’t even shower due to the ages of trim on the floors and everywhere. Sink clogged just running water to brush teeth. Decades of paint and plaster bubbling off the wall in places. I could wipe my fingers on pictures and mirrors and it came off with so much dust. This giant place must cost a fortune to run but it needs some updates. Some love. Especially for the price of an overnight stay.
